Fina (20)
I froze, watching them talk as this man came forward. I felt my heart beat pick up and I almost whined, letting them know I understood their words and that really would have been the end.
“What do you mean, he’s not a dog Nick?” Ray asked with a frown “What the hell do you see then?”
We all waited, afraid of his words. Ray moved in front of me as the rest of the men I didn’t know, started to walk closer. I wanted to snap at them and attack but I had to follow Kai’s plan and act like a dog who wouldn’t know anything different except that a bunch of humans were standing about the place. If I started reacting to their words, they will know something was up
“That” Nick said with a fold of his arms “Is a death trap waiting to happen”
“What?” Ray asked, shocked
I wanted to tilt my head but again, I forced myself to remain neutral, standing as a dog should with its tongue rolled out at the side and just happy to be with its favourite human. Which to be honest, Ray was and I still wanted to roll around in his smell and present myself for mounting.
“The alpha’s son” Nick said “He’s allergic”
“He allergic” Ray said with a slacked face “Of dogs”
Scott burst out laughing, wiping his tears as he looked at him
“He’s allergic” Scott repeated “To dogs. When we are shifters?”
“I never said dogs” Nick grumbled “He’s allergic to huskies, dalmatians and akita's”
“Your serious” Simon said in astonishment
When Nick nodded, my heart sank. I put my head against Ray;s jeans and he patted my head in reassurance, his warmth seeping into my fur.
“How?” Scott said, seriously “I mean…he’s a shifter though, right?”
“Yes but while his mother is full shifter, both his grandparents on his mothers side are half human. They passed on the full shifter gene to their kids”
“So the poor kid got enough of the human gene to be allergic to some dogs” Simon said, nodding his head
“And a couple of cats” The warrior said “The long haired ones. His hands swell up like someone who has a peanut allergy and he gets itchy with a rash. That’s why we had so many housekeepers. Dust and hair can trigger it too which is why we have epi-pens stashed around the place. Alpha says he will grow out of it as he gets older but right now, it’s a real concern”
“And that husky” Nick said, nodding to me “Is a death trap waiting to happen to him. I’m sorry Ray, but I can’t let him in. He’s a beautiful guy and I’m pretty sure it’s someone pet - those guys aren’t cheap…but I need to keep my pack safe”
“Yeah” Ray said, clearing his throat “I get that. The kids gotta come first. Any chance of us getting a cabin somewhere where it’s safe?
Only for a couple of nights? The rest can stay in the packhouse”
“A Couple of nights?” Nick asked with raised eyebrows “You’re not staying until Pete wakes up?”
“I want to” Ray said with a nod, his jaw tight “But I need answers. There were lots of footsteps near the accident site and since then, the smells in the air have been tampered with but I know there was more than those two males in the van and I need answers”
“Of course” Nick nodded “But what makes you think there was someone else?”
“I know it” Ray said “I can’t have lost my mate without….I need to know”
Nick looked at Ray who did exactly as Kai told him to. I watched the other people’s faces and while they all showed degrees of sympathy and compassion; a couple looked at him suspiciously. Not wanting him to over play his hand; I barked to gain their attention
“Its ok boy” Ray said as he bent down at eye level with me “Your not going anywhere”
Ray continued to rub me down, his fast strokes making me lick his face as his hands worked their magic on me
“We do have a few cabin dotted about but the only ones that are unoccupied are the holiday lodges” Nick said “There used mainly
when one of the un-mated males want some time alone or need some space from sharing the single men dorms”
“Meaning” The warrior said with a laugh “They may not be habitable as it is a basic cabin, not much to it”
“Not much for an Alpha” Nick said with a nod of his head “There for solitude so there's one bed, a bedside cabinet, one wardrobe without any clothing in it, a basic stove and a open log for fire and heat”
“That’s fine” Ray said as he stood up “That’ll do me”
“No offence alpha” Nick said with a bow “But it really won’t. The closest one available is almost a fifteen minute walk to the pack house”
“It’s fine Nick” Ray said, stopping him mid-rant
“Ok then” Nick said “If you can give us an hour, I will get housekeeping to move some -”
“Nick” Ray said, cutting him off “I’ll take it as it is”
“But-” Nick started
“Has it got a bed with sheets? A toilet?” ray asked
“Yes” Nick nodded
“Actually” the warrior said “The cabin i’m thinking about has a full on bathroom with a shower”
“What’s you name?” Ray asked him
“Matt Sir” The warrior bowed his head
“Ok Matt, what about the heat? I can chop wood if need be” Ray said “And what about this stove?”
“There’s a two burner stove. The cabin has a kitchenette so there are three cupboards which will have a couple of plates, cups, crockery and cutlery. It also has a few dried and canned items kept there along with a wood fire for heating and it has a few plugs around for the kettles and lamps” Matt said
“Perfect” Ray said with a smile
When Nick hesitated, Ray smiled and spoke to him again even as his hands started to pat my head
“It’s two days, Nick. It’s fine. I’ll make the walk over to the pack house for food when i’m hungry and in the meantime Tim can grab my things and bring it over”
“If you insist on staying there, then at least let me make it comfortable” Nick sighed “Housekeeping will go make sure it is sanitised and clean. I’ll get the kitchen to send you items you can keep as snacks and I do know the cabins do have small under counter fridges in there so you should be able to keep small essentials. I’ll make sure they know to send you breakfast and meals too”
“Thank you” Ray said with a nod “Why don’t you guy’s go in and we can catch-up in a while?”
“I’ll take a cabin too” Tim said
“Don’t” Ray said, shaking his head “I don’t want Fina-gan to be alone. Doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the alpha suite”
My heart almost beat out of its chest. He said my name! They will surely pick up on it
“You already named him?” Nick laughed “Finigan? Why that name?”
“I uh” Ray blushed “Just thought the name Fin was nice and he …responded when I said it”
Wow! Talk about quick thinking. I barked and everyone laughed; at least he could call me Fin without suspicion now.
I watched as Simon, Scott and Tim argued with Ray; not wanting to split up but Ray had managed to convince them of his plans. Nick and Matt started making the arrangements and while Ray and I had sat outside, thankful it was breezy but pleasant; he acted like I was just any other dog. Every time he touched me, I wanted to tackle him in play. When he scratched behind my ear and patted my head in a loving gesture, I wanted to cry but I didn’t know why.
Eventually I followed Ray as he and the group walked with us to the cabin, some of this pack’s kitchen staff coming with us, their hands holding bags laden with food. The walk wasn’t too bad and my walk got more joyful as we got further and further away from the pack house. When we got near the few dotted cabins, I was glad to see that they were far away from each other and separated by
wooden fences for privacy with a security gate installed.
It was only when I neared the door to the gate that I almost snarled. The fences were coated in silver. Not as the main base but enough that made my hackle rise. I saw Ray and the team stiffen and stop before the gate, looking around.
“Silver?” Ray asked
“This place was bought and constructed by a different pack long before our line took it over. The fences have silver in them as these cabins used to be used as safe houses in case of attacks. When our packs, great great grandfather took over, he kept them in place. As each generation modernised the lands and pack house - provisions were made for safety rooms inside and under the lands. Now these fences are kept mainly due to privacy for the ones using the cabins” Nick explained
He opened the gate by using a a square thing and then doing something to the buttons to make really annoying little sounds. He then told the rest of the big group to go in and turned to Ray, giving him the square.
“It’s registered for you to use. I can make another one for you if you want” Nick said “Follow me”
I walked behind Ray as he encouraged me to come with him and almost barked with delight. Inside the gate, the fresh smelling grass made me want to run around. It was a big space and after a few minutes, I saw many people coming out of the cabin. I wondered what they did there?
“Alpha” Matt said as he was the last one coming out of the cabin “The fridge is stocked. There’s some groceries and items easily used for basic breakfast and sandwiches including cuts of cold meats and sandwich fillers. A few different options for hot drinks and fizz as well as staples. Bedding has been changed and the kitchen staff has said that they will deliver any meals or snacks you want. This cabin actually has a phone. There’s a small note pad beside it with relevant two digit codes to connect you to various stations within the pack house”
“Great” Ray said, indicating for me to go in
I dashed past everyone and almost skidded to a stop. The cabin wasn’t too small or too big. I was expecting it to be rickety and broken from the way they spoke but this…looked amazing. The wooden floors gleamed and smelled like lemons. In front of me on the left were two large couches and a tv set in a square shape against a wall. There wasn’t a door so when I walked further, I realised there was something on the right side. I smelled water and food but I couldn’t see where it was coming from.
“Nice” Scott said as he came in
“The way you guy’s spoke, it sounded like it was going to be a flea-ridden place about to collapse” Ray smirked
“It’s not one of our best cabins” Nick said with embarrassment
“It this is not your best, I wanna see your worst” Tim said, looking around
“This kitchenette needs you to turn on the generator power in order to use the hobs. The fridge is small but can hold small necessities” Nick said as he pointed to the wall I was looking at
Ah, Now I understand. That’s where the smell of food was coming from. As he showed him a few things there, he walked us further into the cabin and opened a door on the right, talking about something called a bathroom. When Ray turned to the right, he walked around a a wooden thing. It looked strange to me but apparently this was best
“Most of the single guys don’t have people over so we never thought to install a door. It’s just a large wooden partition that goes far
back as this” Nick said demonstrating it
From their conversations, I could tell Ray was happy. I left them to chat as I sniffed around the place, feeling surprisingly happy here. It felt safe and with Ray beside me and no-one else around; I felt I could be me again. I went back to where the couches were and sat on the rug in front of the table and stretched out, eager for all of them to leave. I had to remind myself what Kai said and how important it was for me to act like a normal dog. I don’t know how long it was before the voices finally came my way and I watched Ray lead everyone out of the cabin and walk them to the gate. They stood around talking for a few minutes and I heard Ray tell Simon he would see him later.
Finally, all the voices faded away and Ray came back into the cabin. I watched as he turned the locks in the door and put down the blinds over the two small front windows. I barked and all he did was give me a side view before he started moving around the room, his hands and eyes touching and darting around. I tilted my head, confused. What was he doing? I barked again and again he ignored me, only giving me a side look before doing the same thing in the bathroom and room they called a bedroom. I huffed out a breathe, annoyed as I sat down and waited on him to speak to me because I sure as heck wasn’t going to try speaking to him now after being ignored.
I jumped up and moved backwards when Ray came back into the main area carrying a chair which he placed in the middle of the room beside the couch and stood on top as he touched the light fixture above us. After a few minutes, he finally sighed and stepped down, taking the chair back to the room and coming back to me. He sat on the couch and tapped the area beside him. I ignored him, not sure what he was playing at
“It’s ok Fina” Ray said “I’m sorry for ignoring you. I had to check we were safe”
I tilted my head. Safe? Why wouldn’t we be safe here? This was better than worrying about all the people in the pack house and who might be secretly against us and following us there
“They had people in here and I wasn’t sure they hadn’t planted a some sort of camera and listening device to catch us out. I wasn’t sure if the traitor had a hand in setting things up in here for us” Ray said, looking at me
I felt my body stiffen in shock. How could I not have thought of that? I was so happy to be away from all the people that I didn’t think about the possible deception. But Ray did! Ray was smart enough to think ahead. I walked forward and jumped onto the couch, closing my eyes in pleasure as his hands ran over my fur
“We still need to be careful but I think we are safe here. It’s solid wood and with the fence in place and the space between the cabins, I don’t think we will have any problem” Ray smiled
I barked, my tongue rolling out
“Fina” Ray said in a deep voice “Would it be ok for Tark to come out? He really wants to spend time with you”
I barked, joy filling my heart at the mention of his wolf. While I didn’t understand how this worked or what kind of magick this was; I knew I was safe because of mother’s words and Kai’s guidance. I watched as Ray stripped down and after he shimmered, his wolf stood instead; tall and proud. His masculine scent teased my nose and I felt myself get excited as I jumped down from the couch and stood before him. Tark yipped, his tail moving with happiness as he looked down at me, his mouth open in a smile even as it displayed razor sharp canines.
He waited patiently for me as I approached him with caution, my steps a little hesitant even though I trusted him. I sniffed at his neck, my tongue capturing his essence from his fur as I licked him. I nuzzled under his chin and felt his chest rumble and I knew it was from pleasure as his eyes shone with happiness. I slowly walked around him, my body occasionally brushing against his body as I became familiar with him.
When I reached his behind, I leaned in an took a sniff, his male essence and the smell of lust strong. I don’t know why, but when I saw his balls drop and his c**k come out of his sheath; I leaned in and licked at the angry looking p***s, my tongue dragging up to touch his balls before flicking at his tight rose bud.
I felt him flinch and I don’t know if it was in shock or anger but I felt pretty self satisfied that I pull that reaction from him as my tongue flicked around on my snout. His deep rumble made me feel excited and as I walked round his other side, my hip bumped him and I let out a small sound, letting him know how happy I was to touch him.
As I finally came full circle, he looked at me with shinning eyes and I felt like I had done something right. He playfully nipped my ear and for a while I stood stock still, unsure if it was an attack or in jest until he smiled, his tongue rolling out.
I yelped, wishing I could speak to him somehow but knowing there wasn’t a way. When he ran his tongue on my nose and then my snout, I almost fainted because it felt so good. Then he did something that made me look at him in shock. With a large bark, his behind went up in the air as his front two paws lowered to the ground, his tail moving back and forth fast and his body vibrating. I stepped back, unsure what he wanted from me.
When I didn’t do what he needed me to do, he stood back upright again. I whined, letting him know I didn’t understand as I thought of what it could possibly mean as he kept doing the same pose over and over until suddenly...
He lunged forward, a yelp of distress leaving my mouth as Tark attacked
