Chapter Fifteen Friday Before The Party

486 Words
Henry I’ve got a hole lot of emotion I’m feeling today. I can’t believe I showed Sydney the green house. But her face was worth it. I’m pacing the floor waiting for them to finish since it’s nearly an hour drive to this party. I throw on a pair of jeans and a white t shirt and a pair of sneakers grabbing a hoodie in case it gets cold later. I’ve never been to an overnight party so I pack sweats too. Who knows what those girls are bringing along. Not like there will be much sleeping anyway. I look in the mirror and feel self conscious for the first time since puberty. What is going on with me? I blow out a breath grabbing my keys and charger before crossing the hall to my sisters room. I hear a camera clicking so I’m sure they’re ready. Fashionably late as usual. I tap on the door and wait. “Come in!” Grace calls. Why does it sound like she’s in the bathroom? Whatever. I open the door and see a bag on the bed. Not too bad. Less then what I expected. I see Grace first. She looks weird. “Are you ladies ready?” I ask arching a brow. She rolls her eyes. She’s wearing a black strapless dress it reaches her knees and she has boots on. Her hairs up and her makeups a little thick but she looks nice I guess. I walk in and pick up the bag turning around and feeling my breath stop. Sydney walks out of the bathroom wearing a red dress hugging her in all the best ways and showing enough but not enough cleavage at the same time. She has on matching boots and though she could do with less makeup she looks hot as hell. I clear my thoughts and smile my normal cocky grin. “You guys look edible. Can we go now?” “Gross.” Grace scoffs walking out ahead of me. Sydney only laughs and follows her out. I lag behind them and out the door and to my car. We saddle in and Grace takes over the radio. I don’t mind. My mind is occupied anyway. I keep glancing in the rear view mirror at the blonde that stole my heart and never even knew. She looks beautiful. She always looks beautiful but tonight she has confidence which is a rarity for her. I smile inwardly to myself. Tonight she looks like she’s gonna burn the entire world to the ground and I’d love nothing more then to help her on that. Then just as suddenly Bryce creeps into my thoughts. Like a damn parasite. I look back at the road and let a deep sigh out for all the things I’ll never have as long as he’s around. He’s like a cop. An annoying douche cop that’s always watching.
