A Sister's Long Wait.

It's November 19, 2018, and my 18th birthday party is tomorrow tonight. I am really excited. It's the perfect season for a steamy bonfire party, and my crush is going to be there.Thomas Benson. I've liked him since the 5th grade, and tomorrow I'm finally going to tell him. I've tried to tell him before but I've always fallen short for time. He is the Romeo to my Juliet. It's been a long wait, but I'm finally ready. I have a whole plan set up, which my sister agreed she'd help me with. She's just happy I'm finally telling him, apparently I talk about him so much, that if I didn't tell him soon then she would die from annoyance. However, I'll get to that tomorrow, for tonight I need to get a good night's sleep.                                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hey, there Thomas" I called out in the darkness, "what a great night for a bonfire, right?" We're standing on the balcony around 25 yards away from the fire, and the rest of the guests. The light from the fire hitting Thomas just right, helping show all of the curves and creases in his pale, freckled face, pulling out the blue tint in his eyes. His brown hair falling so lightly against his skin. He's the only person I know who has such dark hair with freckles! The red glow hitting his skin makes this appearance pairing look completely in unison. Just as Thomas was about to respond, I hear my sister yelling my name...."Ashley! Ashley! Ashley! Come on, It's time to wake up!".                                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My eyes open, I groan as I realize I'm still in my bed, it was all just a dream.  "Come on, Ashley. You don't want to be late to school on your birthday! Get up, breakfast is ready downstairs." That was my sister, Anna. She's 19 as of a few weeks ago. She's a gorgeous blonde, with deep green eyes, and, to finish it off, always naturally tan skin. She was easily the most attractive and popular girl in our school last year. I, on the other hand, am not as attractive, I have sandy blonde hair, with muddy green eyes, and not even close to as perfectly tan as she is. When she turns to leave my doorway, I can smell the bacon and fresh eggs cooking downstairs. Birthday breakfast is a routine event here. So I start to make my way to the kitchen, my sister is already there when I arrive.  "Happy Birthday!" my mom, dad, and sister all yell at the same time. Well, you can say I'm more than awake now. "Thank you, I can't wait to eat what you all made," another routine, not one person makes the Birthday breakfast, they all work together or it. 5 A.M. wake up for all the participants, other than the Birthday person, of course.  It's my normal Birthday breakfast: bacon, cheesy scrambled eggs, with sausage, and pancakes (both of which I put syrup on, I mean honestly I could add syrup on every part of this meal and be very content).  After 30 minutes of us talking about todays and tomorrows plans, and how exciting it is to finally be 18, my sister and I head back upstairs to get ready for school. So here is how today is supposed to go, first we go to school, then we have a early dinner with my parents, who will not be home tonight due to some football tickets I got them for their 10 year wedding anniversary last month, it's for the Packers, our home team. And, I will be at my birthday party, with my sister as the supervisor, at least that's what our parents said she was, which is fine by me, she's only 19, so nobody will think about why she's there, which is good for multiple reasonings.  I arrive to my room, and start getting dressed for school. I want something casual, yet still a little classy. I picked out a white corset top, that has open shoulders, and sleeves that start midway down my arms. I matched this with light blue, high rise jeans, so I can tuck the top. I put my hair into a high ponytail, with neutral makeup,and shimmering lip gloss. I plan on changing later for the party to something more loud and outgoing. After 6 hours of school, consisting of 6 birthday songs, answering more questions about later tonight, a few class presents, a very quiet and rushed conversation with Thomas, and a forced college application to University of Florida (I plan on going to college here in Wisconsin, probably the one Anna attends, University of Wisconsin - Madison, which means I can drive home on the weekends to be with my family), I am finally on my way to early dinner with my family.  We are going to my favorite place to eat here, Kingdom Buffet, a nice but not too fancy chinese restaurant in Hudson, Wisconsin. The dinner was pretty slow, there wasn't much to talk about, since we already talked this morning.  Finally we all headed home, and my parents got ready for their football game, then headed out. Which left just my sister and I at home. We're getting the drinks and appetizers ready for tonight. At around 7:30 p.m. we were done planning tonight, and  I headed to my room to get ready.
