Christmas Eve
Lucas POV: "Hi l'm Lucas Agbaje, I am the heir to one of the biggest insurance companies in Nigeria, my Dad owns it. I always get what I want, and when I don't get it, I make it happen by buying my way (with money). But there's one thing I have been unable to get, and it pains me, but I won't give up, and that is a promise to myself." Michael POV: " I am Michael Agbaje, the second son of Tony Agbaje and Jessica Agbaje. I am the most loved, I have few friends, unlike my brother who is a lousy rat, he always gets what he wants and that pains me. We aren't close because we both went to different schools right from elementary to University, so we weren't always together, we saw each other only during holidays. I'm closer to our Cook's daughter Ella, she has been my best friend right from childhood, we went to the same schools from elementary school to university level, my Dad paid for her education." Ella's POV: " I’m Ella, the daughter of Mrs Haruna, my Mum is the cook for the Agbaje's, she has been working for them right before I was born, the Agbajes have been so nice to us especially Mr Agbaje, he pays my Tuition fees and other expenses, my Dad died when I was 5, he worked at Mr Agbajes company as his company driver, he had always been loyal to the Agbajes. Everyone likes me at the Agbajes except Lucas, the proud and lousy heir of Mr Agbaje, his sight annoys me, he is not like Michael who is my best friend. Michael is talented, gentle and friendly." It's Christmas Eve, The Agbajes mansion is always filled with people on every Eve, extended families from far and near always came around , business men who want to win Mr Agbaje's heart would come, His staffs and family friends would also come. Lucas POV: "Mom and Dad like inviting peasants to stain our house with their filth and poverty, imagine how this one on red is though, yuck.. Once I inherit this house from Dad, I won't give paupers the kind of special treatments my parents give them... Oh, here comes the precious daughter my parents wish they had, 'Ella, you really need to learn how to greet your elders, I said frowning my face, the sight of her face annoys me so much, 'I shall give honor to he who honor is due, Ella said. 'Really did you just talk to me that way, if I... Lucas before you finish whatever you are about to say let me remind you, you definitely don't want me to tell Dad about the money you stole from him. s**t, this girl uses this to blackmail me every time,' she just smiled and walked away like a boss, I felt like the ground should swallow me up because she clearly just humiliated me." Ella POV: "The sight of Lucas annoys me and I always get the urge to humiliate him, was he seriously expecting a greeting from me, (laughs), well serves him right, oh here comes my Mum, “Mummy don't stress yourself too much o, the other women will deal with the stress while you rest” Ella said “My child, I have to, if there's any problem ill be the cause for it you know, being that I am the one in charge” Mrs Haruna said with a smile. 'Honey don't worry about me, go and enjoy the party okay; she said still smiling as she touched Ella by her Chin, 'Okay Mummy; Ella added and walked away. Mrs Haruna stood for a while and watched Ella go still smiling." Mrs Haruna's POV: "Ella my beautiful daughter, always concerned about my welfare, love her a lot, she has been my source of Joy after the passing of my husband, well let me ensure the food is circulating as it should. Music was played, there was dancing competition for the kids, karaoke, snooker games, swimming competition, it was fun. Mrs Haruna and the other women she brought who were in charge of the cooking made sure there was enough to eat and drink, everyone ate till they had difficulties walking, those who weren't present were so angry they didn't attend because the party was the talk of town for days. Christmas Eve was a blast , like every other year.
