Chapter 12 :Who's That

    I run to the door as I hear a knock the next day. I slept wonderfully last night after I left Matts. "Hi!" I say as I open the door and see Matt. He smiles and I open the door all the way so he can come in. I give him a kiss on the cheek and I see his cheeks light up. He can blush, Matt can blush. He smiles even more though. It is the afternoon so I wonder if he's hungry. "Are you hungry?" He asks me and I ask him at the same time. We smile at each other, nothing has felt so right in my life until now. "I am." We say again at the same time. "I can make something." I say and he smiles. "You cook too, you're perfect." Matt says and I blush he is so kind. "Sure, that would be nice." He says. "What would you like?" I ask and he shrugs. "I'll take anything." He says. "Alright." I say and lead him to the kitchen. He sits down on a barstool. I find some chicken, cream of mushroom, noodles and cheese. I decide to make chicken alfredo. Matt watches as I make it. Finally it's done. I put some on two plates. I give Matt his and he starts to eat it. I watch as him as I eat mine. I can tell he enjoys it because of his facial expressions. "This is amazing!" Matt says and I smile as he smiles. After I clean the dishes we start talking on the couch. I lean in and so does he. We are about to kiss, actually kiss when I hear a knock. Matt and I stop and look at each other. "I'm sorry, I don't usually have guests." I say and look down. "It's okay." Matt says while lifting my chin up so I look at him. We kiss each other and then we pull back. "I'll be right back." I say smiling and he is smiling too. "Okay, I'll come with." He says and I grab his hand. "Okay." We walk to the door and I open the door. My smile drops and Matt glares. "What do you want Rose." I say not at all happy with her being here. "Please, can we talk?" Rose asks. "No, go away!" I say crying. She walks in anyway. Right away her gaze goes to Matt. "Leave!" Matt says while walking to me and holding me to his chest. "Merida?" Rose says sounding sad. "Please leave." I say to Rose. "Merida, don't make me your enemy!" She says loudly making me jump. "Why, what would you do to me?" I ask and I watch her smile wickedly. "It's not what I would do to you, it's what I'd do to Matt." She says and she knows that hit a nerve. I look up at him tears falling from my face. "I'll be fine, she won't be able to do anything." Matt says whispering in my ear. "You sure." I say and he shakes his head yes. "I've already called the police." He whispers in my ear. "Okay." I say and then the police walk in. They put hand cuffs on Rose and she looks at me. "When I get out I will find you." She says and I look up at Matt and he shakes his head. "How did you." Is all I can get out before he kisses me and that calms me. "Rose has been sending me threats like that all day and yesterday." He says. "I called the police when I heard the knock on your door because I knew it was her." He says. "Really." I say. "How did you know." I ask. "Rose said she was coming to your apartment so all the police needed was for her to say another threat." Matt says. "I... I." Is all I can say, I want to tell him I love him but I can't for some reason. Matt smiles and he doesn't even know what I was going to say. "You were never bad were you?" I ask him and he smiles even more. "No, actually a little bit." He says and I laugh. At least he's telling the truth.
