Chapter 18 :We Need to Get out of Here

    After my flashback everything was in the same blur. I was pissed and I don't remember anything I did. After the blur passes I find Zander laying on the ground not breathing. You know what that means. I KILLED HIM! I'm so screwed. What if Merida won't love me anymore. My heart is throbbing hard from the thought. I'm gonna tell her the truth though. I've always been honest to everybody, but...…. my parents. I walk into the room shaking on the inside, hopefully not on the outside. My baby runs to me and hugs me tight. "Are you okay?" She asks and I know she can feel me shaking. "We need to get out of here, I killed him. I killed him." I say ashamed. She tenses. "Okay lets go." Merida says and I hug her tightly then let her go. "Are you okay with it?" I ask and nods her head, I don't think she's been in this kind of situation before. Not necessarily in a murder case but any situation like you feel stuck in the corner with only two ways to go and none of them are necessarily good. Like now, if she leaves with me we have a chance to go to jail, or she could lose me. 

Merida's POV 

    Matt has just told me he had murdered Zander. To be honest I'm happy, is that bad. The things are either way I'll lose something so I'm gonna be their for my boyfriend no matter what. "Yes, let go, I'm here for you no matter what." I say and then Matts lips are on mine in no time. "Thank you!" He says in a surprised but happy voice. We start to pack our things quickly, we went to my apartment so we could grab our things from there. We walk down the stairs to the ground floor hand in hand. "We would like to check out or move out of our apartments." I say and the receptionist looks at me funny. "Both of you?" She asks and we nod. "Which rooms?" She asks again. "114 and 78." Matt says. "Can I ask, why are you leaving?" She asks and I was about to tense until Matt sensed it and put his arm on my shoulder. "We're gonna get married and then move into a house together." Matt says and I smile and put my head on his chest. I swore I saw the receptionist glare at me a little. "Oh I didn't realize you were together!" She says and I chuckle a little and so does Matt. I look up at him and he is already looking at me. I blush and the receptionist waves us away showing us she took us out of the system. We walk out and he picks me up into the bridal position. "Are we really gonna get married?!" I ask and I see Matt smile. "Only if you want to." He says and I kiss him on the cheek. "Yes." I say and he stares at me as we get into his car. We drive away from here into the sunset to somewhere, anywhere. Matt will do anything for me and I'll do anything for him. He loves me and I love him.
