Life can throw you some punches. You can ignore them and get hit. Or you can pull up a fist. And punch it right back. Well hell... Imagine this; You're outside, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, a dog is barking. It's a typical summers day. Then, the crack of a bullet explodes in the air, hitting your gorilla bodyguard square in the chest. He falls to the floor. Dead instantly. What do you do? Run? Panic? Scream with everyone else? All three? You don't stand there and stare at him though do you? You do something don't you? You at least run, and hide behind a tree, or you call someone? I suppose I would have ran, I really would have but I was wearing this seasons Prada's shoes, and I really didn't want to mess up the heels. They were a soft white colour which complimented my outfit perfectly. The loud sirens of police cars rang out, and the rumble of engines roaring down smooth tarmac roads echoed out. I watch with mild interest as they surround a white van near the high way shops, blue lights flashing like a disco around the street. I decide to call someone picking out my blackberry and dialling a number carefully, "Hello?" A deep man's voice asks, "Alright dad? I need a lift home," "What about Bob I thought he had the car?" "No he's just been shot," My dad swore on the other end, "Are you safe? Have you rang the police?" I frown and gaze at the police cars, "The police are already here." I gaze at the officers who are surrounding Bob's lifeless figure. "OK, Scarlett are you in central park?" I stare at my nails. I really have to get them manicured again soon. The ends are starting to chip and crack on the... "Scarlett are you listening to me?" My dad snaps, "Huh?" He sighs super loud like every parent in the world does when their kid barley listens to them, "I'll send Charles to the park, meet him by the bus stop and try to keep your profile low," "You mean your not coming?" "Of course I'm not." The phone went dead. "Love you too dad." I step passed the officers and paramedics. They didn't talk or even glance at me, which to be honest is slightly insulting. I mean I am looking really good today even if my heels are killing my feet, and I'm walking a bit wobbly. I strut over to the bus stop were an old lady sits, her wispy grey hair looks dry in the sun, her skin is wrinkly, and filled with deep cracks. She smiles at me. I smile back feeling sorry for her. It must be so horrible to be so old. I'm about to tell her this when a black Mercedes pulls up swiftly on the road. Charles, my driver, steps out and opens a door for me. I send a finale glance at the old lady and jump inside the car. £$£$£ "I don't care I need somebody now!" My dad hisses down the phone. I watch him from my deck chair, beside the pool. His face is getting redder and redder as he gets madder and madder, "Do you know who I am?" He says softly bringing out his famous line. I chuckle softly and put on my new sunnies, staring up at the steaming sun. My dad is a successful businessman. If he wants something then he would gets it. No matter what. But because of that he's got loads of enemies, which is why I need a personal body guard. The pool's water ripples softly in the winds, "No send me five, I want to pick someone half decent," My dad says softer this time, "And I want them in an hour, or I will personally see to it that you lose your job." He puts the phone down, " Hey Dad? Can I help you pick my bodyguard?" I shout to him, "We'll see," He mutters standing in the glass doors of our villa. Yeah, I live in this villa with my dad, some servants and cleaners. When I get my new bodyguard they will live here too. We've got three tennis courts, an outside and inside pool, a mini cinema, a spa, gym, small golf course, and a climbing wall. It's huge here, I think we had about thirty room filled with lush carpets and double beds. I have everything I want yet I felt, I dunno, I suppose I feel incomplete? Lonely? I shake away the thoughts. I'm not lonely, I have everything I need in the world. Everything any other kid would die for. The hot sun baked down. I stared at the swimming pools cool water. It would be so nice to swim in the refreshing ripples but I don't move. $$££$£ "Miss Burnley? Your father is asking for you in the Main room." A young servant stood beside me looking uncomfortable, "Thanks." I mutter as she hurries away. I sigh and stretch up grabbing a silk dressing gown on the way. The sweet smell of lemons hit me as I step inside, my feet sinking into soft royal red carpets. On the walls hang frames of expensive art and plants sit in every corner. The main room holds a super king size sofa and a t.v almost as big as the cream wall. The smell of my dad's aftershave fills the room, "Dad?" He blinks up from a file he was reading from, "You said you wanted to help choose your next bodyguard so I'm letting you," He smiles, "You mean help right?" "No I want you to pick out the guard you like best, after all most of your time is spent with them." Wow he was letting me pick my own. I grin like cat with all the cream, "So where are they?" I ask, "Go into the main office I will send in one at a time. Here," He gave me a piece of paper, "These are the questions you should ask them." I nod and walk into the office taking a seat behind the table. The first knock rang on the door, "Come in!" I call. The first bodyguard who walks in was like Hagrid from Harry Potter. He wore a suit and held a pair of black boring sunglasses. "Take a seat," He took a seat. I stare at the paper my dad had gave me; 1. What's your name? "What's your name?" I ask, "Harry Rentofs," His voice is high pitch. 2. What experience do you have? I ask the question and he bores me for ten minutes telling me his life story. When he is eventually finished I decide to forget the next questions and send him on his way. The next two body guards were the same. They were both hairy and looked like gorillas. "Next" I shouted for a new body guard. She walked in. She? I didn't even know girls could be body guards. Her hair was pulled up in a tight bun and she wore no make-up. Her clothes were black and boring. A simple white shirt and a black skirt paired with flat boring shoes. Can I ask what women goes into an interview wearing flats? Flats should be against the law. I stared at the huge spot on her nose as she sat down, "What's the capital of Mexico?" I asked ignoring the list, "Pardon?" She blinked. After three more questions the girl walked out of the room. The next knock was soft. I sighed, "Come in." A young man walked into in the room. My heart froze beating. I felt my cheeks flushing red as I stared him. His eyes were a piercing green and black short hair that flicked out stylishly. He didn't smile but hell if he did I reckon his whole face would be seriously eatable. His clothes were normal, a black shirt, and black jeans but they made him look so bleddy hot. The soft scent of Hugo aftershave greeted me and I lost myself in his forest eyes. He coughed slightly. Oh right, yeah. I pulled my eyes away from him, "Take a seat." He sat down, "Thanks." His voice was deep, husky and seductive, "It's nothing at all." Oh god, what was wrong with me. Shut up thinking Scarlett and ask him some questions, "Whats your name?" I asked, "Clay Blackers," He answered. After that I ignored the list of questions my dad had wrote, "What do you do for fun?" He looked a bit confused (which was a totally sweet sexy look on him) but answered anyway, "I like to play the piano." I nodded and gazed at his tanned hands. His fingers were long and...I stopped staring at his hands, "Do you like Lady Gaga?" There was a slight pause and he smirked at bit, "I like how she is so original and is not afraid to be herself, but her music is a bit full on for me." I asked a few more things. To be honest I wasn't really listening to his answers, I was gazing into his deep green eyes. He was probably seven years older than me but oh god he was hot. He was hotter than Damon from Vampire Diaries, he was hotter than the blazing sun outside. Shut up Scarlett. I had to stop these thoughts. Body guards were not hot, you do not get close to them. He wasn't even that hot, I tried to tell myself as I gazed at his juicy lips. Oh imagine what it would be like to kiss them or even touch them (Do guys mind you touching their lips? I could ask him and say it was for a school project.) I mentally shook myself and asked my finale question, "How good are you?" "I take my job serious, I understand I'm on constant duty. Even as I walked in here I saw several security problems, if you hired me I believe your life would not be in danger," I nodded slowly like the i***t I am and walked out ( tripping slightly over my own feet) the door avoiding his dazzling eyes, "Dad I want Clay Blackers," I flushed at my words and how they sounded, "I mean I want him hired." My dad nodded and I walked out the room hiding my flushing cheeks. Well hell...
