13 years later. When Alissa was 19 years old, she decided to leave the orphanage to fend for herself. She packed her belongings and ran away without telling anyone, she took the box that was given to her and ran far away. She didn't know where she was going to, but she knew that she had to keep going. After walking for a long time, she spotted a little house with an old woman at the front, Alissa walked up to the old woman and squatted " Good day ma" she greeted. "Good day young lady, how may I help you" said the old woman. Alissa was tired and nervous but she had to try her best to see if the woman will assist her without sending her back to the orphanage. "Ma'am, actually i came from the orphanage and I don't have anywhere to go, she looked down, please ma'am I was wondering if you could take me in as your maid" Alissa asked. "can you do house chores" the woman asked. "yes Ma" she replied. "Alright, come in let me show u around" Thank you so much ma, I appreciate. She followed her inside. It was a little house with four rooms. The woman pointed to the last room " that's the only unused room, you can sleep there" the woman said. " thanks ma" Alissa dropped her bags and she signed, "I miss the orphanage" she muttered before resting. When she has rested enough,she got out of her room to check out the house and to see what she can do, the house was cool but she still decided to clean everywhere. After the cleanup, she when to the kitchen to cook since she was hungry. " What should I cook for dinner"? she muttered to herself. After much contemplating, she decided to cook spaghetti, when she was done with the cooking, she went outside to meet the old woman. "ma'am the food is ready" said Alissa. " alright quick timing" the woman said. They went inside to eat, after which Alissa washed the dishes and then when back to her room to sleep. She was grateful for the food in her stomach and the roof over her head. The next day, the old woman (Mrs. Rosemary) called Alissa to come help her get something at the supermarket market down the road. She came out fully dressed. " good morning ma'am" Alissa said "Good morning. what's your name I forgot to asked yesterday?" Mrs Rosemary asked. "my name is Alissa" Alissa answered "okay Alissa, please take this money to the supermarket down the street and get me some deodorant" said Mrs Rosemary. She took the money and started trekking down the road towards the supermarket. She entered the supermarket, got a basket and then started searching for the best deodorant to buy for her madam. On the other hand was Raymond, he was with his gangs called the "REBEL" R- Raymond E- Eric B- Bernard E- Evans L- Leonard Alissa walked fast without checking her back, he bumped into Raymond and the things he had on him fell on the floor. " Are you blind? can't you walk properly?" Raymond asked pointing a finger at her. "Don't point your finger at me, it's disrespectful to point your finger at a woman" said Alissa and Raymond chuckled, " you should be glad I even pointed my finger at you, don't you know that there are millions of people who are waiting for me to even approach them, you should count yourself lucky" Raymond boasted. " you said millions of people, but I'm not among the millions of people okay, get that into your thick skull" Alissa said and then walked to a different shelf. " hey you disrespectful girl" Raymond shouted. " calm down Ray and let's go" Leo said and Raymond nodded Raymond and his gangs left the supermarket and Alissa scoffed. " Do you think that I'm stupid" said Alissa and then pick up a perfume " this is my mother's favorite perfume" said Alissa and she sniffed back the tears forming in her eyes as she remembered the day she lost her family.
