Chapter 5 My income

The next day

Alissa was in her room when Clara came in properly dressed, she wore a green knee length gown.

Clara sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Alissa.

"Alissa what is wrong?"

"I don't want to talk to you" said Alissa

"Why, are you angry at me?" Clara asked

"I don't think so" said Alissa

"What did I do wrong?" asked Clara

"Are you in love with Jack?" asked Alissa and Clara signed.

" Maybe, but I'm not sure yet. I just really like him" Clara replied

"But I met him first, why didn't he love me" said Alissa

"I don't know but love can't be forced. I'm sorry i never knew you liked him" said Clara

"Maybe we weren't meant for each other" said Alissa and Clara went close to her.

"You will find your own man soon okay" Clara assured .

"Alright! I love you, you are like a sister to me, besides both of you look perfect together. I'm happy for you" said Alissa while hugging Clara.

"Do you remember what you promised mom?" Clara asked.

"No, what did I promise?" Alissa asked

"You promised to follow us to our next picnic" said Clara

"Oh! I remember, when is the next picnic?" Alissa asked

"Today, hurry up and dress nicely" said Clara as she stood up and left the room.

Alissa wore a pink cotton trouser and a pink crop top pairs with a white sandals. She left her room to the sitting room only to see that others were already ready and that they were waiting for her.

Duke couldn't keep his eyes off her.

"Stop looking at her like that" Clara whispered in his ears.

"You look beautiful" Said Mrs Rosemary.

"Thanks ma" Alissa replied.

"Guess what Alissa, the most exciting part of this picnic is that we are having it at the beach" Clara squealed like a child and everyone laughed.

"You all think I'm funny right" said Clara

" Don't worry sister, you are not funny but hilarious" Duke mocked.

"Good point son, let's get going" said Mrs Rosemary and they all left for the beach. They arrived at the beach one hour later, with their picnic baskets.

"That spot is cool" said Clara pointing to a spot close to the water.

"Good choice" said Mrs Rosemary and they all walked towards the spot. They set up their beach bed and rested to watch the view.

On the other hand was Raymond, he was with his group and his media team. He was there to snap pictures for his next album promotion.

He had on, a white cotton trouser with a white cotton jacket, his chest area was exposed with his tattooed chest.

Immediately he stepped his foot on the beach, all eyes were on his group and him in particular, boys and girls, both old and young especially the young girls were hailing, screaming and shouting his name.

"Raymond! Raymond!!"

"Oh! my goodness, Raymond is so hot". "Raymond is the most handsome guy in New York"

"Raymond is so rich, I wish to be his girlfriend"

"It's the REBELs, they all look cute, but Raymond is the cutest"

"I love you my superstar Raymond".

Raymond just ignored them as he walked past them .

"I like that spot, it's best for pictures" said Raymond and pointed to a spot close to where Alissa and her group were.

"That spot is perfect" said Eric and they all move down there.

The media team brought out their equipment and started setting the place up for the photo shoot.

They were soon done with the set up, and then they started taking pictures of the REBELs.

Mrs Rosemary was thirty and needed water, " Clara can you get me a bottle water from the mini mart over there?" She asked, "no mom, I'm busy" said Clara as she kept on pressing her phone.

"Lazy girl" said Mrs Rosemary to Clara.

"Alissa dear, please get me bottle water from the mini mart over there, thanks" said Mrs Rosemary.

"Okay ma" replied Alissa and she stood up and walked towards the mini mart.

It was time for Raymond to take his personal picture for the promotion, while he was posting to take the shot, Alissa mistakenly bumped into him just as the camera man took the shot.

"What in the name of God is this?" Raymond said to Alissa.

"I'm so sorry" Alissa muttered

"You, delete that picture" said Raymond to the camera man.

"But sir, it looks perfect" the man said.

"I came here to snap alone not with any lady, I say delete it" Raymond ordered.

"Okay sir" said the camera man.

While trying to select the picture to delete, the man mistakenly uploaded it on his social media blog.

"s**t" the man shouted unknowingly.

"What is it" asked Raymond and Alissa at the same time.

"I'm so sorry sir, but I mistakenly uploaded the picture on your social media accounts instead of deleting it" said the fearfully.

"You did what" Raymond yelled

"I'm sorry sir" said the camera man.

"I'm finished" said Alissa

"You are not finished, I'm the one that is finished" said Raymond when suddenly, his friends, Eric, Bernard, Evans and Leonard ran to him with their phones.

"Raymond something good has happened" said Evans

"Nothing good has happened" said Raymond.

"Hear them out first" said Alissa

"Listen to her, the picture you just took with her has given you more money, additional 2 million dollars and a thousand more followers in just few minutes" said Eric.

"Give me your phone" said Raymond as he snatched the phone from his hand.

Raymond eyes widened in shock when he saw everything.

"wow! Alissa, it wasn't all bad bumping into me after all"

"And how are you going to pay me back?" asked Alissa as she folded her hands to her chest.

"Would you mind if I ask you to be my photo partner, I will pay you handsomely" Raymond asked.

"I wouldn't mind, but how are going to communicate?"

Alissa asked.

"With phones of course" Raymond replied.

"I don't have a phone" said Alissa

"You don't have a what!" Raymond asked again.

"I don't have a p-h-o-n-e" said Alissa stressing the word phone to his hearing.

"Fine, I will figure out something later, bye" said Raymond as he walked away with his group.

Alissa walked back to where her group were, Mrs Rosemary adjusted her glasses as she stared at her.

"What took you so long and where is the water i sent you?" Mrs Rosemary asked and Alissa started scratching her head.

"They don't have water at the mini mart" Alissa lied.

"They don't have common water, fine, let's just enjoy the view and then eat and go back.

Raymond left the beach with his team, when he was done with the photoshoot. He went back home to rest with his friends.

Raymond lives in paradise, his house is fancy and classic if Alissa was here, she would have noticed how beautiful and big the house is compared to Jack's house. Raymond got to his door and scanned his face and the door opened letting them in. Raymond collapsed on the sofa as he dropped his phone. Eric and the rest took their seat.

"Are you okay?" Leonard asked

"I'm fine, but guys, what do you think of Alissa?" Raymond asked them

"Who is Alissa?" Bernard asked

"She is the girl on the photo with Raymond" Leo answered

"She is beautiful" said Eric

"She is sexy" Bernard added

"To me, she is cool and calm" said Evans.

"calm indeed" Raymond mocked

"What do you mean by calm indeed" Evans asked.

"In case you don't know, that girl is not calm, she looks calm but she isn't" said Raymond as he pulled off his jacket.

"So what are you going to do with her? Are you planning to sleep with her as you do with other girls?". Leonard asked.

"No, I will use her as my photo partner, she's my lucky charm. said Raymond.

"First time in history, that you have refuse to sleep with a girl, it's a miracle" Bernard teased

"it's because she is an orphan?" said Evans

"You guys should stop saying trash" said Raymond as he stoop up from the sofa.

"I think someone is in love" said Leo

"Who is in love?" Raymond asked.

"You are in love with Alissa" Ben shouted.

"I met her a week ago, and you all are saying trash, please don't say it again" Raymond said and walked away to his room. He was thinking of buying Alissa a phone since she doesn't have one. He got to his room and dropped his jacket on the bed.

"s**t, my friends are saying trash, I don't do love and I can't be in love, but why is she on my mind all of a sudden?"

He collapsed on his bed.

"Alissa, why are you on my mind, stop driving me crazy?" Raymond muttered before releasing a deep breath.

He closed his and waited for sleep to take him.
