Chapter 4 kitchen mess

Mrs Rosemary checked the kitchen, and. found out that they were almost out of food stuffs.

"Alissa! Alissa!" she shouted

" I'm coming ma'am" said Alissa as she rushed to the kitchen from her room.

" You didn't tell me that we are almost out of food stuffs, why?"

" I sorry ma'am, I forgot" said Alissa

"no need to apologise, take this money to the supermarket at the next street and buy all the things that we need, also you must go along with Clara" said Mrs Rosemary and she handed the cash over to Alissa before walking away.

Alissa walked to Clara's room, she saw her sleeping.

"Clara, What are you still doing on bed by this time of the day? Come on, we are going to the supermarket" said Alissa

"give me five more minutes please" said Clara. "nope, I won't give you even one minute" said Alissa, as she dragged Clara from the bed.

"what?" Clara blurted when Alissa stopped dragging her.

"I'm only doing what mom told me to do, she asked us to go together" said Alissa

"fine, let me change and freshen up" Said Clara.

Clara went into the bathroom to wash her face, brush her teeth and then came out to dress. She dressed in a blue jean, and a white crop top and then pairs it up with a white slippers while Alissa was on a yellow shirt with black jean trouser.

Alissa waited for Clara to finish dressing up and then, they left for the supermarket. They got there in no time, since the supermarket wasn't far from their house. They both went in and starting picking what was needed in the house, luckily, Alissa was able to make a list of things they needed before leaving the house, so it was easy and they finished the shopping in time.

After the shopping, they started trekking along the road gisting and arguing about the prices stuffs, when suddenly, a car splashed water on them. Clara's clothes were soaked since she was the closest to the moving car.

"that stupid car" Clara shouted

"the driver didn't even stop to say sorry"

She didn't finish her ranting, when the car turned around towards them and stopped. The driver came out and it was Jack, he was dressed in a white T-shirt and blue jean just like Clara.

"oh! I'm so sorry, I was in a hurry, let me help you clean the dirt off" said Jack

"no need, I can do it myself, I thought it was these rich spoiled brats" said Clara as she took the clothes from Jack's hand and started cleaning herself. Jack then turned to see Alissa starring at him foolishly.

"Hey Alissa, glad to see you in a healthy condition" he said

"oh! I'm good, what brings you here" asked Alissa and he turned to face Clara.

"My sister just got back, so I was hurrying over to cook for her but the problem is, I can't cook" said Jack still looking at Clara.

"Don't look at me dude, I can't cook either okay, but Alissa is a great cook"

said Clara whiling rolling her eyes.

Jack was surprised at her statement, a grown lady that can't cook.

"You really can't cook, or are you just pulling my legs" Jack asked

"yeah, I can't cook but Alissa can as I stated earlier" said Clara as she gave him his clothes back.

"oh, Alissa since you can cook, why not please kindly help me out, please? Jack asked and Alissa smiled at him.

"You mean I should come and cook in your house" Alissa asked and he nodded.

"cool, besides Clara don't even know the difference between sugar and salt" Alissa teased and Jack laughed.

"okay, come in let me take you guys to my paradise" Jack boasted

"paradise my foot!" said Clara has she entered the car.

Alissa sad at the back seat while Clara was at the front.

Jack was busy stealing glance at Clara as he was driving.

"Dude, concentrate on the road not on my face, I wish to sit at the back" Clara blurted.

"Don't you like me?" Jack asked and Clara started laughing.

"What's funny" said Jack

" I don't hate you" said Clara

"then why did you... " said Jack but he was interrupted by Clara before he could finish.

"we will talk later about it Alissa is here" Clara whispered.

Jack nodded as he kept driving not knowing that Alissa heard everything they were say and she is not happy about it.

They soon arrived at Jack's "paradise"

and he was indeed a paradise, Clara eyes widened in shock as the word "wow!" escaped from her mouth.

"I thought you said 'paradise my foot' so why the 'wow' now?" Jack mocked as he parked his car in the garage.

The girls stepped down from the car, and Jack lead while they followed behind him starring at the huge house. He took them to the sitting room and they were amaze at how classic and beautiful it was. Alissa mouth opened in shock, because this is the first time, she has been to a house this beautiful since she left the orphanage. "wow! it's indeed a paradise" said Alissa.

"welcome to my humble abode ladies" said Jack as he moved closer to Clara and he grabbed her hand.

"what are you doing?" said Clara

"remember, you said that we should talk later" said Jack.

"Okay, but let go of my hand" said Clara

Jack released her hand and he then turned to Alissa, "my kitchen is by the left, make yourself comfortable" said Jack before trying to rush off.

"Wait" said Alissa

"what would you want me to cook?"

said Alissa

"I don't know, cook anything you want, the kitchen is fully stocked" said Jack as he left with Clara.

"Okay, I will cook whatsoever I want" muttered Alissa to herself since they left her standing there alone.

"The house is really beautiful, I wonder how the kitchen will look like, let me go and find it" Said Alissa as she starts looking for the kitchen.

Jack took Clara to his basement, he didn't want to take her to his room before she will start thinking otherwise. His basement is well decorated since he likes to rest there. There are pictures of footballer and wrestlers on the wall since he loves the sport.

Clara looked around and smiled to herself when she entered. She then turned around to look at Jack only to discover that he was already looking at her the whole time.

" we are here, so let's talk" said Clara

" I'm sure you must have noticed, that I like starring at you. From the first night that I saw you, I was amazed at your beauty. I got attracted to you since then, and I have been meaning to talk to you, but I had to give you time before you will think that I was disturbing you"

"You are beautiful" said Jack and Clara blushed.

"Thanks, at least someone sees that I'm beautiful" said Clara

"What do you mean by that?" asked Jack and Clara started walking around.

"It has been long, someone told me that" said Clara

"That's because, there are all blind, you are the most prettiest lady to me in the whole world" said Jack and Clara blushed.

"Thanks, but you are not looking bad yourself, you are super handsome" said Clara and Jack blushed.

"Do you feel the same way that I do?" asked Jack

"yeah I do like you but I don't love you sorry" said Clara

" I like you too, no need for sorry, we will get to the love part soon since i don't believe in love at first sight" Said Jack

"you are just like Alissa, she doesn't believe in love at first sight but I do" said Clara has she walked really close to Jack and they were both starring into each other's eyes, he pulled her closer to his chest before bringing down his face close to her face, he was giving her time to pull away but since she didn't, he took that as a sign to go ahead and he kissed her.

Alissa found the kitchen and she was again amazed at it. everything were in order. She started looking around to see what she could find. After few minutes of searching, she decided to prepare spaghetti with salad.

Jack was still kissing Clara when Alissa walked in on them interrupting their kiss.

Clara suddenly jumped and separated from Jack when she saw Alissa and looked down at the floor.

"sorry for my interruption, I have been looking for you guys, dude your house is huge" said Alissa

"it's okay" said Jack

"I came to inform you guys that the food is ready" said Alissa

"so fast wow!" said Jack

" come along Clara" he added, and she nodded.

The three of them walked to the dinning room in total silence.

When they got to the dinning room, Jack when ahead to pull a seat for Clara.

"Thanks" said Clara as she shyly sit on the chair.

Jack sat beside Clara while Alissa took the seat opposite Jack.

Jack and Alissa started eating but Clara did not eat.

"What's wrong, don't you like the food?" Jack asked.

"No I like the food" said Clara and started eating.

"Clara are you okay?" Alissa asked

"Yes I'm fine" replied Clara

"Where is your sister? I haven't seen her since we came" said Alissa

"She will be..." said Jack as the door suddenly opened as a tall, slim and classic lady walked in and gave Jack a peck and then threw her bag on the table. She turned to face Alissa.

"Wow! who is this angel, is she your girlfriend?" said the young lady.

"Nope, she is just a friend of mine Alissa" said Jack.

"Beautiful name, I'm Sarah, Jack's twin sister. said Sarah as she hugged Alissa.

"Nice to meet you Sarah" said Alissa

" Who is this beautiful girl?" asked Sarah

"She is Clara, my friend whom I intend to start a relationship with" said Jack as Alissa looked up at him.

Hello Clara, it nice to meet you. please take care of my brother, he hasn't had a girlfriend in a long time". said Sarah

"I will do my best" said Clara

"I think I'm full, we will take our leave now" said Alissa as she stood up and left with Clara following behind her without saying anything.
