FINDING HOPE

(Unknown P.O.V.) . I opened my eyes and there was a very bright light. I quickly shut them again. Something didn't feel right. I couldn't remember where I was. . I tried to open my eyes again, but the bright light still hurt. I blinked a couple of times, but it didn't help. I then tried to sit up but I couldn't. . I lay there thinking. The last thing I could remember was lying on the park bench in Greenwich Park. I could hear some muffled talking one female and one male voice. But I couldn’t make out what they were saying. . Where on earth was I and what the hell was going on! Then I heard the tiny cry of a baby! . OMG what was going on! . Suddenly I remembered I'd been in labour. . The baby was it ok! . I couldn't remember... . There'd been a really nice nurse and lady doctor helping me, then I remembered the nurse saying where losing her. After that I couldn't remember anything. . Was it the baby they where losing? . I started to fight this feeling of tiredness, trying to open my eyes again but I was just too weak. . I hear someone talking. . "Kate it ok just relax darling your ok." Someone said. . "Iiss iiss mmyy my bbbbabby ok." I struggle to say. . But I feel someone’s hand on my arm and some pressure going into my arm. . "Noooooo." I try to scream. . Everything goes black..... . . . (Nurse's P.O.V.) . "Doctor looks like she's coming round." The Nurse said. . As several alarms start going off. . The Doctor had a look at the machines shaking his head. . "We're going to have to put her back under; whatever this young lady's been though has really taken it out of her." The Doctor said looking at me with a sad smile. . I glanced at the little baby girl in the crib, hoping we can save her mom. . We still hadn't had any of her family or friends turn up, looking for her. . Out in the corridor we hear shouting. The Doctor leaves me with her to go and find out what's going on. . . . (Unknown P.O.V.) . Finally after going round several hospitals, I think I've found her. I just need to get this Receptionist to let me she her. Then at least I'll know where she is and what’s been happening since we disappeared a few days ago. . Oh Boy what a few days it been. . Finally a doctor comes this way and I stopped shouting at the Receptionist. . "Doctor what's happening." I ask. . "Please calm down." The Doctor Said. . "Sorry, it's just been very stressful Doctor." I said. . "I do understand, but I'm really sorry unless your family, I can't discuss her condition with you." The Doctor said. . I think for a second. . "Kate’s my sister, she went missing 3 days ago" I say . The Doctor reluctantly smiles and asked me to follow him. . We go into a private family room and sit down. . "Kate was brought in yesterday morning after a fellow doctor found her on a park bench in Greenwich. We think she'd spent the night there." the doctor explained. . I shake my head. . "She's had a very long labour. It been very hard on her body and she'd just about given up when we needed her to push the baby out. As the baby came out she passed out. Then after delivering the placenta. She suffered with very heavy bleeding. We had to rush her to surgery." The Doctor said. . "How is she now?" I asked. . "We've sorted out the bleeding and had to stitch where she had a small tear. She's been stable since, until about half an hour ago when she started to come round and was panicking. We made the decision to sedate her. For the next few hours we will assess her as she comes round. Your welcome to sit with her, until she's awake it may help her to stay calm when she does come around, if someone she knows is with her." The Doctor said. . "Yes, Great, Thank you but can I please see the baby first." I replied. . "Yes of course follow me and I'll get a nurse to show you." The Doctor said. . We walk out the room and I follow him to the nurses’ station. . "Lucy can you show this, gentleman to see Kate’s baby please." said the Doctor. . "Of course." Lucy said, Stopping what she was doing and looking up at me. She stood up. . "Follow me." Lucy said. . We walk down a long corridor to a big glass window. . "Are you the father?" she asked. . "No I'm her brother." I reply. . "Ok, I'm sorry I can't let you hold her, but I'll go and get her, then bring her to the window, for you to see." said Lucy. . "Thank you" I said. . I watched her disappeared, after a minute, I see her walk into the room and go up to a bassinet. She picks one of the babies up and walks over to the window holding her. . Oh she's beautiful I thought. I grabbed my phone and took a couple of photos of the baby for Edward. The nurse put the baby back in her bassinet and comes back to me. . "Thank you." I said. . I followed her back to Kate's room. . "Thank you." I said again. . "You’re welcome." Lucy said and disappeared. . I see Kate lying there, what a relief I've found her. Oh Kate what have you done. . "Nurse I'm just stepping out for a minute to ring the baby's father." I say. . "Ok" She replies. I walk down the corridor and find a quiet spot to ring Edward, after a couple rings he picks up. "HAVE YOU FOUND HER?” Edward screamed at me. . "Calm down, Yes I've found her" I replied. . I hear Edward exhale. . "Thank goodness, how is she?" Edward asked. . "It going to be ok, she's in hospital and Edward, She's errrrrrr had the baby. It's a little girl." I said. . I hear Edward gasp and then start crying. . "I was meant to be with her." Edward said, sobbing. . "I've taken a photo of the baby, I'll send it to you in a minute." I said. . "Thank you mate." Edward said. . "Edward it going to be ok mate, but I think you need to get here now." I said. . “Why what's wrong." Edward said, sounding concerned and very distressed. . "Well" I said, and then explained what the Doctor, had just told me. . "Ok, I'll be there as soon as I can. Do you think we need to move her to a private hospital?" Edward asked. . "No mate, not yet she's in the best place. I'll stay with her, until you get here." I said. . "Thanks, when she wakes, tell her I love her and I’m sorry." Edward said. . "Ok, Bye Edward." I said. . "Bye mate." Edward said, hanging up, I walked back to Kate's room and sat down. . . . (Edwards P.O.V.) . I can't believe it after three days he's found her. I could kill my family for their good intentions. I ring Cole one of my Servants and tell him to get the plane ready to leave in an hour. . I sit on the sofa, rest my head in my hand and start to cry, after everything Neil's just told me. I'm lucky Kate's alive. . There's a knock at the door, I ignored it. I'm not interested anymore. Someone knocked again then the door opened and someone walked in. . I look up, it Elizabeth my baby sister. . She see the state I'm in and grabs a box of tissue. Then sits next to me and pulled me in to a big hug. . "Brother dear, I'm here for you. What's happened?" Elizabeth said. . I don’t say anythink and just cry in to her shoulder it comforting to have her here after everything ive just found out all i really want is Kate in my arms, holding her tightly, with the smell of her hair and i realise I really do love her, she’s my soul mate and my one true love. . “I can help, if you talk to me Edward." Elizabeth said. Bring me back to reality. . “I know, I’m sorry Elizabeth. Thank you for been here.” I Said. . My phone beeped. I look at it; it's the photos of my baby. . "Oh she's beautiful!" Elizabeth gasps, I had to agree she was, the most beautiful baby I'd ever seen. . As I scroll thought the photo's, the last couple are of Kate and it nearly breaks my heart, to see her in such a state. . "Is this your girlfriend?" Elizabeth asked, I nod my head in uncontrollable sobs. . Elizabeth pulls my in to a big hug rubbing my back, comforting me. . "You really need to talk with mom." Elizabeth said. . "Talk to me about what?" Christina asked. . Unbeknown to us she was stood at the door listening. Elizabeth jumps up. . "Sorry Edward." Elizabeth said. . "Elizabeth, stay please. Mom can you sit with us please." Edward said. . Both lady's joined Edward on the sofa and Edward explained why he'd run away and what had been happening since he'd left. . Then I show mom my baby girl. Christina starts crying and so does Elizabeth. . "You have to go to her, be with her now, take Elizabeth and Cole with you." Christina said. . "Edward I'm sorry for what your father and I have done." Christina said, thought crying. Then pulled me it to big hug. . "I know mom, I'm sorry too. When I get back, we'll talk and sort everything out. Then I'll take to Throne, if you and my people will still have me." I said. . "Thank you." Christina said. . It doesn't take long for us to get ready and our driver takes us to the airport. Where my private planes waiting. When we're sat down, the plane takes off. . "What's Kate like? What does she do?" Elizabeth asked, I explain it all to her and it such a relief to no longer have any secrets from her. . We get to London City Airport and there's a car waiting. . "Do u want, to go straight to Kate or go get freshened up first?" Cole asked. . "I need to be with Kate." I replied. Cole nods and tells the driver. . "Queen Elizabeth Hospital Delivery Suite please driver." Cole said. . The car speeds of. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the Hospital. . "I'll see you both later. Thank you" I say getting out of the car and running in to the Hospital.
