Day to day
Driving to work in her "well loved" emotional support car, McKinzie blasts her cocky playlist that makes her feel ready to take on the day. Wind in her long auburn hair and her prized Prada sunglasses, resting on the bridge of her freckled nose, she is the picture of an 18 year old ready to take on the world -or maybe just her 9-5 she cant be prouder of herself for landing- She cranks the volume down almost cracking the volume control button on her 2017 navy blue Lincoln MKZ, pulling up to her job at Little Turtle Preschool. She parks kind of over the line but no one is going to correct her for it. She scrambles to grab her work bag and stumbles out of the vehicle; but not before putting her beloved sunglasses on the dash and giving them their well deserved kiss and pat-pat before closing the door behind her and giving Ms. Linky her kiss-kiss-pat, as she deserves too, for getting herself and the maniac-behind-the-wheel there in one piece -and a minute before her scheduled clock in time- Ms. Linky is a hero for her daily duty of "hanging in there" while it has still been 6 months and no oil change. Her first paycheck was spent on the Prada sunnies but certainly an oil change is not high on McKinzie's priority list.
Heading into work she greets every one with her beaming smile and goes about her day playing "daycare worker simulator" in her mind, tending to the children, teaching independence and compassion, she is quite proud of her career. The day drags on like every day, and she cant wait for her lunch break so she can doom scroll through insta and daydream about the lifestyle she wishes she could be leading, everything is fine she isn't going through anything tough- but she wants more for herself- she can feel the lifestyle she wants to be living on the tip of her tongue but she cant quite reach it or imagine how to get there.
