‘Does it want me to touch it? Why does it not just touch me?’ James wonders as the AI's voice warns him, ‘don’t touch the invaders.’
James moves his head up so that the VR glasses are not pointed at his hand or that of the Faceless before reaching out and touching the Faceless.
It is at that moment that James realizes why the Uzarians don’t want the gamers to touch the Invaders.
With a sound that humans can not hear the Faceless communicate with each other and James notices that the Faceless that is with Dale is turning around and walking towards him.
