CHAPTER ONE
Doorbells ring and immediately the door opens without approval to open.
“It's time we work closely and no longer distance ourselves.
I know you got answers to my questions though you never expected my visit….
Amelia said, putting on a smiling face.
Orion got this strange look as he watched her stepping closer to his office desk.
“It's my duty and, you know, I respect my job hours. Orion said he felt no regrets.
“Oh yeah, I know. I feel you might be needing someone to assist you this time. I'm here, and we're going to work closely.
“Never thought I'd be needing you, not even anyone helping me out on any occasion.
What's the visit for, Amelia?
Amelia got this crazy scene open as she wanted to know if Orion could get on his toes.
“Orion, our time together has been perfect, but I'm getting to know that we are not feeling the same way. I need you to tell me if there's a need for a wrecked girl in your life?
“Hey hey hey!! Orion stammered as he pointed at her with a crazy look on his face.
You say this again, you never find yourself…..
“I never did what? She asked not to let him finish his statement.
“This is absolutely crazy, finding your way to Downtown in search of a no-class entity?
“Orion!! What the hell are you doing with her and who is she?….I need to know where this madness is coming from.
Hands on desk as he got a deep breath, a little body moved that shows he got pissed with Amelia's unexpected visit.
“Did you come to ruin the day or did you get something interesting? He asked politely
“I've always been peaceful, you know, not until this time do you take a chance on anything beneficial.
You got me this way as you're seeing someone who is considered out by other humans.
“I don't know what this could be, but I feel you have to put an end to this right now. She said with a command.
“Amelia, are you interested in what my life is all about? Orion asked with his eyes pounced directly on Amelia's face.
“Is there a need to know about her or what role she's got to play in my life? You should never describe her as a no-class entity or with any form of disrespect, okay?
“She's got nothing for you, no better life , and no happiness, you know? Amelia said in a very worried tone.
I have to ask myself how you visualized the idea of making her a priority. Should I just call it a spell? If yes, let me know how to get it off.
Orion felt disappointed at Amelia's approach at first, and now he's left with too many thoughts running through his mind.
He remained indecisive as he didn't want this moment leading to another. At this time, he tried to bring down the tempo of the conversation and not let things go out of hand. He said…
“Amelia, my life with anyone shouldn't be a problem for you or to anyone at all. I made myself the man I wanted, and I chose what was good for me.
I've got no business with your visit, and you know it, then why try to keep me on my toes? He asked.
“We've been dating for years now. Why this strange lifestyle? You got my calls without returning, no text, checking up and not even visiting… That's not you Orion!!
The distance we have got has nothing to do with this, because we are used to our moments regardless of our schedule.
No night-life this time for us. Weekends get boring as you left me aside but keeping up with another girl. That's heartbreaking, you know!!!
Amelia felt disappointed at Orion's weird look, as he had this unserious gesture, making her feel ignored even with her heartfelt and deep-sounding words.
Orion couldn't say much as he felt uncomfortable with the conversation, knowing that the environment is never conducive for such conversations to take place.
He took up his pen and a little piece of paper from his drawer, inscribing something not meaningful or anyway useful to the current situation.
Amelia got so pissed that Orion's reaction wasn't enough for her. Then she said…
“ What the hell are you doing, man? You have got no time for this and for us anymore, huh?
You know that's not going to happen, you know that so well and whatever it is, I'm going to ditch this girl you're seeing somewhere.
You can't let go of us and the beautiful moments we have shared in the past.
Don't they mean something to you, huh? She asked with her hands open, expressing herself.
You've had the best life you want and everything else you desire…why another girl to replace me?
Orion! Orion!! Orion!!! As she calls out repeatedly
Enough of all this!! As he hits his hands on the desk.
This whole thing is getting out of hand and I think you're actually trying to create something else out of it.
This is my office, and you know a lot about it. You disrespected me for coming uninvited.
I don't care what you feel at this moment, just let me be.
Amelia, I need to be focused on something else and not this conversation, okay?
How did you know I was seeing someone somewhere? You have got your instincts on it, and you solely believe everything you think is actually right, huh?
Immediately she responded….
Yeah, I know exactly how these things work. You're a changed person and you know it. You turned everything around and made us look like strangers who have never crossed paths.
Why leave my calls without returning them?
Do you restrict messages even when you have no time to call?
No night outing. You know I've wanted that for a long time now, but you never made yourself available to me.
Amelia lamented deeply, as her eyes got bulging and body uncontrollably shaking.
Orion's expression explains it all as he only wanted Amelia to leave. His face was mean and his eyes direction off Amelia's face. He had no time to keep up with the conversation.
A notification on his phone made Amelia a bit curious to know if that could be a text message or something she'd be interested in, and then an incoming call.
Both eyes went the same direction as the phone ringed, only for Orion to snub the call and ask Amelia to leave for a better time.
Her countenance changed immediately. Orion noticed everything and decided to take a walk out of his office.
Amelia attempts to stand in her way and a doorbell rings.
