Chapter Four

2030 Words
Zach's POV   "I will give you orders as soon as possible...yes...bye." I ended the call and sighed. I was talking to the group I had sent to help investigating the k********g problem in the werewolf world. They still had not found much and it was my hope to change that soon. We needed good information to get rid of these people.   A while ago, I had talked to Kenneth and he promised to update me as soon as possible. It had just passed lunch time and I was wondering where Charles and Shane were up to now.   "Come in!" I called out since there was a knock on my door.   "I've brought your lunch sir."   "Thanks." I said and my PA placed the lunch box on my desk, then immediately left. I stood up and picked the lunch box. I went around my desk and sat on the couch to have my lunch. I took my phone from my pocket and opened it to find messages from Shane.   'I want to start school tomorrow.'   'At the blue bird'   'Please'   "What the hell." I said in wonder and quickly dialed Charles number. "Hey man...did you get your brother.....where are you now?...can you come over as soon as possible?...yeah...okay man." I ended the call then finished my lunch.   Shane just asked me about school and I wasn’t sure where that came from. It was completely out of my expectations. Our last attempt of making him go to school was terrible and I really thought he would never want to go to one. I was happy he decided to go and also was worried. What if something went wrong again this time and I'm not there to help him?   I sat back on my chair and started finishing the work I had on my desk. I had a lot of things to sign and it was really tiresome. After sometime, the door to my office opened up after a knock. Charles came in with Shane and I told him to leave Shane with Janelle for a minute, so he went back out.   "What is it?" Charles asked the moment he came back inside my office.   "Shane wants to go to school."   "What? Since when?" He asked and I sighed.   "Since today; did you guys talk about school when you were out?" I questioned hoping I'd find what inspired my boy to want to do so.   "No. He and I didn't talk anything about school. He didn't talk much since I had my brother and you know how he is with strangers." He said and I just nodded, not knowing what else to say.   "Where does he want to go to?" He asked.   "The blue bird and that's why I called you to help me out. It is the school your uncle owns; perhaps you can help me register him."   "I'm sorry I can't tomorrow. But I will just call my uncle and tell him about it then tomorrow you can go and get him registered with not so much to explain."   "Yeah that's fine. Thank you Charles." I told him and then he left to call his uncle. He knew just what exactly was needed for Shane, so it was okay for me not to be around when he talked to his uncle. I went right back to signing the papers on my desk.   "We'll leave first. I'm done for the day anyway." Janelle said when she got in my office later on that day. It was almost five in the evening.   "Okay. I will see you later then."   'Don't forget to get me that thing dad.' Shane signed and I groaned remembering I had to go hunting for his thing. I just hoped I would find it and not make me look for it longer.   I got my jacket that I discarded sometime during the day and with my briefcase, I left the office. My PA would organize everything I left on my desk as I had to start my hunt. I checked in on Charles but he was not going off yet but assured me he had talked to his uncle and they would be expecting me tomorrow.   After my successful hunt, I drove home. I had to make sure that the school stuffs for Shane were ready for tomorrow. When I got back there, I got everything ready for school and decided to just rest for a while before going down for dinner but ended up sleeping for the night.   **** "Hello," I groggily answered my phone that had been ringing for a while and woke me up.   "Finally you answered the phone!" Janelle stated the obvious and I winced at the loud voice.   "What do you want?" I asked annoyed that she was shouting in my ear so early.   "Well, you have a lot to do today. I didn't want you to get late on your son's first day of school."   "Oh shit." I said after checking the time. I had to be fast on my feet or else I'd surely be late.   "Yeah, exactly, now get up!" She shouted again and I ended the call. She was shouting in purpose just to irritate me. I can be grumpy in the morning, especially when I've been woken up so rudely like today.   I hurriedly got up and took a shower. After that, I got myself dressed and run out to Shane's room where I found him also dressed. I excused the maid that was combing his hair and started on it myself. I finished combing his hair and stood him up before me.   "Are you sure about this?" I asked him and he nodded.   "Alright," I said and carried him downstairs for breakfast. It didn't take long as a soon after, we were in the car and I drove to the school. I got his bag and held him by the hand as we walked to the Director's office. I knocked on the door and opened it once I was given the okay.   "Welcome Sir, Mr. Knox is waiting for you." The secretary said as she led us to another room. We found Mr. Knox on the phone and after a nod from him, the secretary left. I sat down on a chair and sat Shane on my lap.   "Good morning Zach. I can call you Zach right?" Mr. Knox said and I chuckled then nodded at him.   "I'm Liam." He said smiling and we shook hands.   "I'm here to register this young man." I said and he looked at Shane and smiled at him.   "This must be Shane. Charles told me all about him. I already did the other registration part and all I need is you to sign some papers." He said as he gave me some papers.   I shifted Shane so that I could sign alright and after a quick check of the papers contents, I signed then gave the papers back to Liam. He checked the papers and nodded to himself. After typing something on his laptop, he got up and told me to follow him. He took me around the school, mainly the places where my son would likely be most times. I saw the cafeteria, bathrooms and the playrooms. All this was to assure me of my son's safety at the place.   "Thank you Liam. I liked everything and I should get going now." I said after leaving Shane in his classroom. He didn't protest or anything and he even waved at me. I was glad my son was actually showing some changes.   "Okay Zach. We'll take good care of your son. Just remember the time to pick him up."   "I will not forget such thing." I said firmly and he gave me a smile.   I left Liam and was on my way out of the school when I bumped into someone. The person fell down and I wasn't quick enough to prevent their fall. I reached out to help them up when my hand was avoided and they got up on their own.   "First you steal my book and then you push me down. Can you be any ruder?"   This time, I actually looked at the person before me. I scoffed at what he has just said when I realized who it was as well. I met this boy on my hunt for Shane's book yesterday in a book store. I didn't steal his book but actually got it first. Besides, it was a book store and at the time it was no one’s book. I had to get it for Shane anyway, plus I didn’t push him just now.   "It is nice to meet you too." I said with sarcasm and planned to just pass him by when he stood before me, blocking my way.   "What now?" I asked the little man blocking my way.   "Are you not going to apologize for pushing me?" The boy glared and I looked at him in amusement. He looked cute being mad and all, snapping like a big dog while it was just a puppy.   "It was an accident and I even offered my help but you refused it." I said and he scowled, so I added. "Besides, it isn't my fault that you are too weak to fall down at that. Just like it wasn't my fault you have a small hand to collect the book first." I added and it was really amusing to see the color of his face changing. I smirked and passed him as he just stood there gaping at me.   This boy was really interesting.   I got in my car and quickly drove to the office. I was almost late for a meeting with another CEO of a clothing company. We had a contract to sign since we were planning to be partners in a certain part of my business. After that meeting, I went back to my office to finish up some things.   "Hello," I answered when my phone ringed.   "You wanted to talk to me? I’m listening." Alpha Kenneth said without any greeting at all.   "I’m fine and you, Alpha?"   "Zach."   "Well, I was thinking," I paused.   "Go on."   "I was thinking maybe we should combine our men. Your men and mine must work together on this rather than separately." I said firmly.   "I was thinking the same. Perhaps with our combined skills, we will actually find something." He agreed with a sigh. I knew that both he and I were going through a lot to get whoever was a threat to the omegas. It was an inhuman act and disgusting to kill them for their own selfish desires.   "Good we are on the same page then. I'll let my men know of this arrangement." I said and after some talk on other things, he hanged up. I sighed and leaned back in my seat with my eyes closed.   It was my responsibility to help out in the werewolf world. I had to help those omegas and that was by eliminating the threat from the face of earth. I had to protect them including that rude omega I met earlier.   I've been around werewolves enough to identify one. What made me wonder about this one though was how he talked to me. I've been told by Kenneth and even Charles, that I have an alphas aura. I've met omegas and they got intimidated by me that some don't talk at me at all.   But how come this one didn't feel intimidated by me? He even talked very bold and stood his ground against me. I hadn't thought I'd meet him again today after yesterday. How sure was I that I would not meet him again tomorrow? And somehow, deep down, I looked forward to meet this omega.         ---------------------------------------------
