The Forgotten Mate

Jink woke up excited. She had 3 days left until her 18th birthday. The day when all young Wolves find their mates! Jinks has been dreaming about that day for years. Now the time has came for her to finally, finally find her other half. Jinks jumped out of bed and ran to the shower, thinking to herself 'the faster i get today over the sooner the day will come'. As she was getting finished ready for the day her mom knocked and said dinner was done. Her mom is 35 years old, she was a beautiful person. Everyone loved her, mostly because she is the wife of the beta. But also because she is sweet, kind and caring. Moms the packs head doctor, she tends to everyone. My dad's the beta, the alpha right hand man. He is stubborn and hard heading, but I know he loves me. He'll do anything to make sure the pack is safe, so he a very busy man. Me on the other hand, I got half of both my parents personalities, I'm kind and loving, but very hard headed and stubborn! People when they first meet me thinks that I'm a b***h, but once they get to know me, they find to see that I'm very tame. I skip down the stairs in the pack house for breakfast everyone was already there eating. Of course leave it to me to be late, but thats a usual things with me. I'm always late, I always get scolded for it also. I ovoid eye contact with my dad as I sit next to my mother, and start serving myself whats left. She leans over and scolds me, " What have I said about time management? I thought I taught you better!" said yells wispers. My bestfriend Jaz stiffens a giggle but quite down when my mom shoot daggers at her. I try not to laugh, maybe she will learn after all these years that ill never be on time! I lean over to start talking to Jaz while eating, "Omg," I say, "Just 3 more days and I'm 18!" Jaz laughs " Yes I know! You've yet to let me forget, it's all you been going on about for week!" I blush "Well yah because I'm excited! i finally get to find my mate. I wonder what he looks like and who he is! Maybe if alphas Son he turns 18 the same day I do" I sate. "Yeah right like that will happen," Jaz remarks. That's right The Alphas son and I share a birthday, but I'm a few hours older then him, soo I constantly remind him. We are also friends, it was gonna have to happen because we have to share a birthday. I look over at him and realize he staring me down, I raise my brows at him to silently ask what. But he just shakes his head and looks away. 'Weird' I thought to myself, Will never just randomly stares at me. Maybe he heard what I said, that would be totally awkward. But who knows it may be true. I've always felt a weird connection to him, and him to I we talk about it alot of the time. Always trying to figure out why we are connected the way we are.
