“I mean did you see their lead vocalist, he was so cute!” Denise giggled. “He’s definitely my type,” Elena uttered as grabbing her books to her chest like she was hugging someone. “I’d go for their drummer,” Kathy pointed out. “Me too!” Elena blurted out letting out a squeaky laugh. “Yes, the drummer was definitely good looking too.” Denise added jumping at the mention of the guy. Though they didn’t stay very long during the party, It seems the girls we’re still able to enjoy it, to the point that up until now they were still talking about it. Classes had already ended, so they decided to have a little snack at a nearby shop just outside the campus. They took her favorite route within the schools garden, so that they can enjoy chatting as they walked. “Hey, looks like there’s trouble over there,” Kathy pouted to a group that they were approaching. “We better not get involved,” Elena whispered seeing as it was a girls fight. Crystal could not help her face from contorting when she notices that three girls were beating one person. And all of them looked familiar, it was only when she finally had managed to get close to them that she confirmed who they were. “What! You think you can take me, ha!” Dana hissed as she kicked the girl that was already slump on the ground. Two of her friends were holding down the beat up girl, who seems to still wish to fight. “You b***h!” Mary cried, still trying to grab hold of the young woman’s skirt. Her face was already beaten and bloody, one eye barely open from swelling. “Guys, call someone, a professor or some security, hurry,” she orders her friends as she started walking towards the group. “Crys, where are you going!” Kathy was already running behind her after Elena and Denise ran to get help. Dana’s hand was already raised to give another slap on the Mary’s when she managed to reached it, just before it even hit the girl. “Hey, that’s enough!” Crystal says as she tightly grab on to the woman’s wrist. Dana let out a smirk as she pulled her hand away. “Oh, look who’s come to your rescue.” Crossing her arms as she give’s Mary a mocking look. “I don’t want any trouble Dana,” Crystal was straight face yet she was alert, making sure that the other two girls were still in her field of vision. Thankfully Kathy remained just behind her, guarding back as she faced the three girls. “Then maybe you should have minded your own business,” Dana pointed a finger at her gritting her teeth. “You want to try me?” Crystal raised an eyebrow, eyes squinting as she crossed her arms to her chest, warning the girl that she was getting too close for her own comfort. “She started this, it’s not my fault that Eric left her!” Dana whined slowly backing away as she pointed to the beaten up Mary. It seemed that the woman was taken aback, sensing her eagerness to fight her head on at that moment. She was really itching to hit her face right now after hearing those words, as she knew that the woman was totally vile. “You want me to finish what she started?” Crystal states as she lowers her arms, fist clenched as she began to take a step forward. Kathy was already crunching her knuckles, smiling at the two other girls who were still holding Mary. Seeing the anger in Crystal’s eyes sparked fear in Dana, yet she still tried to hold her ground as she nodded to her companions to let go of Mary. “Let’s go girls,” she quickly turns away from them, the two just laughed pushing the beaten down girl to the ground before running after Dana. Though she really felt pissed at what they did, she decided to let it go, seeing as Mary needed more attention right now. “Are you all right Mary,” she asks, kneeling beside the girl to help her sit up. Mary just let out a half smile, though there were already tears in her eyes. “Yes, I’m fine,” she says voice shaky as she tried to hold her sobs. “We better take her to the infirmary,” Kathy says as the two of them tried helping her to stand. It seems that she was beaten really bad, since she was having a hard time straightening her legs. “No! I’m okay,” Mary waves them off, letting out a pained and soft laugh. “No, you’re not!” Crystal scolds as the girl was being hard headed. Mary ended up lowering her head in shame, It was obvious that she was unable to stand on her own, seeing as her entire weight was being carried by Crystal and Kathy. “C’mon we better get her treated,” Kathy ushers them to walk so they slowly move as they try to make sure to avoid adding more injury to the girl. “We’re here, were here!” Denise cried out to them. “Crys, are you okay?” Elena called out. The two were gasping for air as they ran towards them, both girls were carrying broom sticks. Holding them with both hands as they waved it around. Though they looked silly she could not laugh at the moment because of Mary’s condition. “Where’s the help?” she asks seeing as there wasn’t anybody else with them. “There’s nobody near and the guard didn’t want to get involved, so we thought you might need help so we ran back as fast as we could,” Denise stated, worry etched in her face while looking at Mary. “It can’t be help, c’mon then, help us take her to the infirmary,” she just says nodding her head to the girls things that were scattered on the ground. The two immediately grabbed hold of the things as they continued their slow and careful walk towards the infirmary. It took them almost half an hour as the place was quite far from were they came from. Their slowed paced managed give ample time to come up with an excuse, since Mary was adamant on keeping what happened a secret. They accidentally bumped into Brittany as they were moving, making the girl follow them until they had managed to get the girl inside. Her other friends then said their goodbye’s as it was already getting late, she was very thankful for them for staying with her all along. She and Brittany ended up being left there to stay with Mary as they waited for someone that would pick her up. “What were you thinking, taking on Dana and her group!” Frustration was written all over Brittany’s face as she kept palming her face while giving the young woman a good scolding. “She took Eric from me, I’m going to make that b***h pay!” Mary sobbed, clenching her fist on her lap as she was sitting on the examining bed right now. The nurse had already given first aid and was now contacting her guardians, so they were the only ones there at the moment. “And how are you going to do that if you’re all beaten up like that,” Crystal points out at all the bruises and wound all over the girls body. “If Crys hadn’t shown up, what do you think would have happened to you,” Brittany continued, trying to make the girl understand. All Mary could do was lower her head in shame as tears kept running down her face. Yet they could clearly see and feel the girls anger from being unable to lay a finger on Dana. Crystal couldn’t help but feel sorry for her, knowing full well how she felt at that moment. “Yes, Brittany’s right. Next time, you should choose your battle wisely. If you want to confront someone, make sure she’s not surrounded by her minions,” she could not help but say to her. She knew that if it weren’t for the two other girls that Dana was with, things would have turned out quite differently. That somewhat made merry smile a bit. “I’ll remember that,” she says as she raised her tear filled face. They ended up cutting their conversation as the nurse got back inside of the infirmary. Seeing as there were also some guards now guarding the door, they knew that the girl would be safe there. “It’s getting late, we should probably go on ahead. Will you be all right?” Crystal pats her shoulder giving out a warm smile. Mary quickly nods. “Yes, my dad’s coming to pick me up,” she says, finally done with her crying as she was now smiling while wiping her face. “Okay, that’s good to hear, will see you around okay,” Crys nods back. “Be careful next time all right,” Brittany give’s the girl a good old tap on the back. “Thank you,” Mary says as she was now feeling completely better. “You’re very welcome,” Crystal gives her a hug before they began waving good bye’s to each other. They would turn to Mary once in a while, as they walked to the door, making sure that the girl was really okay. “You know, you could have just asked someone or tried to make a bluff, instead of facing those girls head on,” Brittany immediately started, the moment that they had managed to distance themselves from the infirmary. “Oh please, if it was you, you’d probably come to her rescue, no questions asked. Besides, I couldn't just stand there and let them beat her up,” Crystal say back, giving her friend a smirk. “Touché. But, in your case it’s a bit different, since Dana seems to be really pissed at you,” Brittany warns. Yet Crystal didn’t feel any fear nor regret. “Really now, well that makes both of us,” she smirks. “During the time that I’ve spent with their group, I’d say the woman’s planning something against you, so you better watch out,” Brittany say’s with a deep and foreboding voice. “I know, Its not the first time that they tried something, why do you think I took those self defense lessons. Besides, I know you have my back, you can just tell me ahead of time, if they’re going to try something,” she gives her friend a mischievous smile while playing with her brows. “That would be easy if I was still in their group,” Brittany snorts. “Why, what happened?” She could not help but raise a brow upon hearing that. “Oh, you know how it is with me, I don’t like having people boss me around, and that woman is one bossy b***h,” Brittany flails her hand in the air in an ‘I don’t care’ gesture while rolling her eyes. That somehow made Crystal feel even better. “We’ll, I’m still glad, since now I don’t need to think about you being all friendly with them,” she gives her best friend a tight hug. “Who ever says I was friendly with them,” Brittany let’s out a loud laugh. “If she ever tries something again, then I’ll finally have a reason to take her on,” she just states. “Oh, someones acting tough. But I definitely like that idea,” Brittany jumps hands raised in a cheer. “At first I thought that I shouldn’t really bother with her, since she hasn’t really done much to me in this timeline, but seeing as she’s still making my life here miserable, I think it’s time I fight back and not just in a war of words, but really fight back,” she says smirking as she clenches her fist in her chest. She was really tired from avoiding and keeping a low profile from the woman, as she really wanted to ignore them from the very beginning. But seeing as how things turned out, she did not want to be on the losing end any more. “You can definitely sign me up for that!” Brittany shouts as she raises her hand for a high five which Crystal gladly accepts.
