I'm eating in the canteen with Sophie when a group of three girls walked toward our table.
"You are Gladilaine, right?" A beautiful girl but wearing too thick make up asked me.
"Yes, why?" I softly asked. "Ahhh!" I exclaimed when she pour the juice that she is holding on my head. I was so surprised, I didn't expect her to do it on me. I don't even know her and I don't know why she seems so angry with me.
"Hey b***h! What have you've done to my bestfriend," Sophie shouted and stood up. She throw her plate of food on the face of the girl. Gosh, I didn't expect Sophie to do this for me too.
"How dare you!" The girl angrily shouted. "Girls, destroy their faces," she told the two girls on her back. What did she say again? Destroy? Wow, big word.
"Enough!" Luckily, the Dean is passing by the canteen and saw what happened. But, unlucky too because we are all called into the guidance office.
"You, you're just freshmen students but you already involved in a fight. Do you know the consequences?" Mr. Counselor asked me and Sophie.
"With all due respect sir, we didn't started the war. They just suddenly came into our table, ask my friend's name and pour a juice on her head," Sophie explained while trying to calm down herself.
"Is it true, Venus?" the Counselor asked while looking at the girl who pour a juice on my head.
"I'm sorry. I was just driven by my emotions," she replied and looked at me. "This girl is a b***h, she's flirting with Johan," Venus said.
"What are you talking about? We don't even know you and Johan is just our friend. Why, are you his girlfriend? Essshh, for sure not. How can a monster like you become a girlfriend of a nice guy, Johan," Sophie stubbornly said at Venus.
"That's enough, Sophie," the counselor said.
"I'm sorry. I'm just defending my bestfriend," Sophie replied.
"Venus, you are one of the best student in this school. As a sophomore, you must act like a role model to the freshmen students. You know that this school have disciplinary rules and causing trouble is a big mistake," the counselor said to Venus. "And you Sophie, you don't have any right to throw a plate of food on Venus' face. Don't you have any manners too?" he asked Sophie.
"I just don't want my bestfriend to get bullied. Everyone treat her very low just because she is poor. Ofcourse, I can't let them just a***e Glady and stepped on her," Sophie answered.
"Even though. What you did was still wrong. And because of it, you and Venus will be punished to clean the comfort rooms. Venus will clean the men's CR while Sophie on the women's CR." the counselor seriously said.
"No way," Sophie and Venus shouted in chorus.
"You only have two choices. Do the punishment correctly or I will call your parents and told them to transfer you in other schools," the counselor said.
"I accept the punishment," Sophie hesitantly said.
"Fine!" Venus said.
The councilor smiled. "I will check the comfort rooms tomorrow morning. Note, no one is allowed to help you with the punishment. If I know something wrong, you will clean the comfort rooms again for one week," the counselor seriously said and I feel pity on Sophie. "You may leave now," he added and the group of Venus angrily goes out.
"Sir, Sophie did something wrong because of me. Can you please spare her and let me do the punishment?" I asked while holding the hands of Sophie.
"Miss Velora, you did nothing wrong. You are the victim here and you didn't fight against those who bullied you. That's a good value that you know how to be humble and don't make things complicated. It's good that you didn't fight back and put justice in your hands. We have laws to protect you. No one have the right to hurt others, not unless it's a self defense. In case of Miss Sophie, it's not self defense because no one hurt her," the counselor explained. "She deserved her punishment and it will be a lesson for her not to do same thing again. You are freshmen here in our school, you must be properly disciplined so that you won't caused any shame to our school someday," he added.
"I understand, I was wrong. I lost my temper," Sophie said. "Let's go," she told me and she stood up.
We went out of the guidance office and heard a lot of gossips about us.
"I'll just call my dad. Just wait for me here," Sophie said and she went a little far from me.
"That's the flirty girl who steal Johan from Queen Venus," a girl said.
"She look so cheap. Haha!" her friend replied while looking on me.
"You know what, she deserved to be bullied. No one ever dare to go against Queen Venus, specially with her boys," another girl said.
"How dare she mingle with the twins. She is just a poor freshmen student. Ews!" another girl said.
I just looked on the ground and never looked at them again. I don't want to know who talked those things about me and the twins. I'm too ashamed even though I didn't do anything wrong.
"You, you, you.!" Sophie shouted while pointing her hands to everyone around. "You really don't have anything to do but gossip here and gossip there. You know what, Venus is just an ex of Johan. Who cares if Johan likes my bestfriend? Besides, we are beautiful unlike you. You are full of plastic surgeries but I guess, what you need the most is brain surgery for you to have a good brain. A brain who doesn't know how to gossip bad things, step upon others ego and discriminate others just because they are poor. You guys are so pathetic," Sophie shouted and those girls around immediately walked away.
"That's enough," I said and drag Sophie into our room. "I don't want you to get in trouble because of me anymore. Just don't mind those bashers, they are not worth to be entertained," I said.
"It's just, they are so irritating. I don't want you to get bullied just because a heartthrob gets closer to you. You are not doing something wrong for them to be angry and bully you," Sophie said.
"You're right, I'm not doing anything wrong. So, I don't have to be guilty and angry with them. Just get away from troubles, okay?" I said.
"Answer me, I want the truth. Do you like Johan too or not?" Sophie asked.
