Chapter 5: Elyndra

740 Words
Elyndra was so shocked she couldn’t move. All she could do was watch as her parents circled Levi. She shook her head a rushed toward his back, “Leave him alone!” “He hurt our Luna! Our daughter!” Her mother snarled. “All he did was reject her, the way she reject him years ago. He did nothing wrong,” “Shut up, Elyndra!” Elyndra shot out a line electricity from her palm to her mother. Her mother flew away from them, and Eva screamed. Her father growled and lunged for her, but Levi pushed her away. Her father landed on Levi, both transforming. “Levi!” She cried out. Silas looked at her with a snarl, “Dylan, John grabbed her and don’t let her go,” Elyndra snapped her head to Dylan who looked pale. John, a simple pack member in the diner looked uncomfortable but still walked toward her. Her sisters were huddled by the booth next to the door. “DYLAN!” Silas commanded this time, using his alpha tone so Dylan no choice but to walk towards her. “No!” Elyndra screamed. She wasn’t sure what to do, there were innocents in the diner, she couldn’t just let her magic out. She shot an electric bolt out to John and he stumbled back. But Silas just called more pack members who simply came in to dine. Before she knew it, she was being held like a prisoner by four pack members, including Dylan. Tears streamed down her face as she watched her father and Silas fight a broken wolf. It wasn’t a fair fight. She was screaming for Grace to do something, for the Goddess to stop this. She tried to fight free, when she tried to use her magic the wolves tightened their grip so hard they almost broke her bones. Levi transformed back to human and locked eyes with her, “It’s okay, Ely. Trust in the Goddess,” he gave her a real smile as Silas’s teeth locked around his throat and dug in deep before snapping his neck. She watched as the light leave his eyes and his body fell to the floor. She couldn’t breathe and felt something unlocked inside her. There was a hum flowing through her and the hands holding her let her go. She let out a scream that shattered the windows and glasses, the wolves bent over covering their ears, and her father and Silas stared at her in fear. She stood slowly as the hum in her body slowed. She didn’t realize it but when she screamed, light sprang from her body, shocking all those around her. She walked slowly towards Levi and put a hand to her heart. She closed her eyes. When she opened them, she looked her “family” and Silas. They could see in her eyes, something had changed. She didn’t need to voice the threat, but she did. She walked over to Silas, who had helped Grace up. She whispered a spell to enhance her strength to that of an alpha male and when she stood in front of Silas, she looked him in the eyes, and thrust her into his chest and touched his heart. Nobody moved, not even a sound. She held his heart gently in her hand as her tears fell, “Hear me when I say this: You have spit in the Moon Goddess’s face more than enough already. Her punishments come in ways we don’t always understand and you keep racking up strikes,” she listed her head, “If you harm me, or anyone I protect, in any way - even terrible word in the wind, I will follow through on the moment,” she gave his heart a nice squeeze. She looked to he Grace, standing shell shocked and wide eyed, “Don’t tempt me, you two have already pushed me quite far, who knows how much more it’ll take,” Elyndra let go and slowly pulled her hand out of Silas. He healed quickly. But he blood dripped from her hand and he watched it, terrified. She took a step back and said, “You will pay me the cost to restore my diner in a timely manner,” “Your diner?” Silas whispered as he looked at her Her eyes were cold, colder than he had ever seen them. “Yes. Don’t come back,”
