AUTHOR’S POV:
Contrary to their expectations, Jun's house is quiet when Nevada and Maverick pull up in front of it. The lights remain on, indicating that they are still awake, but they expected to arrive at some commotion that Jun would conceal.
She nods when Maverick asks if she is ready. Just as they get out of the car, Justin's brother opens the front door and walks out. Jun stands in the doorway, wishing him a good night. When she sees Nevada, she rushes outside, asking where she’s been.
Justin’s brother also rushes up to Nevada, and they embrace. "Thank you," Nevada whispers in his ear. At that moment, a taxi pulls up in front of them, and Justin's brother recognizes that it is his ride.
