Chapter 6

AUBREY'S POV:

"I found her" Chloe shouted as she ran down the hallway with Aurora towards where I was standing.

"What is this time?" I said smiling at Aurora.

"Don't you dare smile at me, where have you been? Do you know what your so called friends made me go through in your absence? She asked with pride but her face was full of worry.

"I know you still care and you're worried about me, don't worry I'm safe. I just felt the need to step out and catch some breath" I said.

"I don't care what happens to you or if you're safe and I'm not worried about you as well. I've got other better things to be worried about. I'm just saying whenever you want to step out next time tell your so called friends so that I won't be harassed like I was today again because of you. I won't be nice next time cos I won't let it slide." She said as she stomped off.

While she was talking she couldn't look into my eyes directly because she knew I'd see her worries and I'll find out she actually meant the opposite of all what she said so instead she faced Chloe. Tch! I know that little minnow still cares so much about me. I thought to myself before I got interrupted by the hard grip on hand.

"We need to talk Aubz." Liam said as he grabbed me forcing me along with him.

"Let go of me Liam. I said releasing myself from his grasp, still angry with him for the act he pulled up earlier as I continued. I have nothing to say to you and I have nothing to discuss with you at least for now."

"Holy sh*t! I guess time passes on so fast when you're with the right person at the right moment."

"Right person huh? You call that the right person, right Aubz? I saw everything, I totally saw everything." He raised his voice in anger.

"So what? So what if you saw everything? I didn't do anything wrong did I? So am asking you again so what if you had seen it all? All the best for you and for what you saw." I spat.

"Enough! Chloe screamed. Enough of the argument between you two?" She said almost crying.

"Don't bother looking for me later, I'd love to go home myself today". I told chloe.

"Are you going to walk home or you'll take a cab?" she asked in worry.

"I'll just walk home since it's really not far from the school. I told her.

"Okay, she agreed. Just make sure you take of you before tomorrow. Understood?"

"Yes ma'am. I said as I hugged her so tight while she patted my back like I was a little baby. I couldn't talk harshly at Chloe or shout at her because she totally understood me and the whole situation.

"As I was about to go, I turned to face Liam who was still fuming with anger and jealousy. I didn't know what to do with him or how to deal with him. So I just passed by him whispering goodbye which I wish he heard.

As I passed by him, he held by my wrist making me stop.

"Liam, I don't have any more strength in me to deal with you for now, so please just let me go. I said silently more like a whisper.

"Liam haven't you had enough? Let her go already." Chloe shouted.

"Calm down girls, I'm not going to do anything stupid, neither am I going to say anything more." He said as he looked into my eyes and stared into them till couldn't hold them any longer because I saw nothing other than pain in them.

"Goodnight and have a sweet rest." He said as he kissed my forehead and gave me a very big smile which melted everything I had for him earlier.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. I said almost crying while I moved closer to him to hug him so tight that he almost choked and had to readjust himself before he spoke.

"Babo"

"Did you just call me stupid? I asked him as I lifted my smiling face to see his face which was now smiling as well.

"You're not supposed to apologize because, you did nothing wrong. I was the one at fault right from the beginning. It's being my fault all along. I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything, for making a fuss out of nothing, for making you cry, for getting jealous, and for venting out my anger, Mian hamnida (I'm sorry).

"Dasi malsseumhae jusi kesseyo? (Please say that again)" I said laughing.

"Mian hamnida" he said again already laughing.

"Louder please in English this time" I said already feeling fly while I was still laughing

"I'm sorry please forgive me" Liam shouted a little bit.

"Okay I want it in other languages" I said happily with pride, forgetting that we had issues together earlier.

"Hmmm…..let's see I think I can still try a few languages.

"Okay then let's get on the language ride. Chloe said happily.

Language ride is a game founded by the three of us out of boredom and out of our zeal to learn other languages. We sit in circles, we actually have a deck of cards, they are not ordinary cards because we made them ourselves and we had simple words inscribed on each card like sorry, thank you, good morning and so on.

We share this cards amidst ourselves and then drop the last card at our middle. That's always our first ride. Our number one rule is that no one says a language twice for one card. Our second rule is if you lose, you will grant two wishes each of your partners. We ride on each card twice with different languages, which makes six different languages for a single word. The first person to start records a new language, and we change the words on the cards as time goes on.

"Language ride? How do we do it when we're in school?" Liam asked.

"Who cares?" We're detained anyways. I said.

"Okay then let's do this." Chloe said.
