Chapter Fourteen The next week, Allison hosted a small get together at Jacob’s place. It was mostly a business dinner, but Stacey was looking forward to going anyway. She liked seeing her sister. On top of that, she had been so busy since she had gotten married that she hardly had any time to enjoy herself. After moving in with Charlie, Stacey had put her apartment up for sale. It felt odd saying good-bye to the place. She had cried on the floor of what had been Tina’s room and had trailed through the apartment like a ghost. There had been a lot of memories, both good and bad. On top of moving, she had been helping William at work. Stacey had found herself hitting a groove there that made the long days go by quickly. She was working quickly, keeping herself organized and task-oriented.
