CHAPTER 32 A NIGHT OUT

1145 Words

CHAPTER 32 A NIGHT OUT Johnson walked into the Crown restaurant with Daniel and Julie. He approached a waiter about their booking under Johnson’s name. The waiter led them to their mahogany brown tables and chairs. Two tables were joined to accommodate all nine of them. Johnson sat around one of the tables while Daniel and Julie sat across from him. His eyes roamed the restaurant. On one side, there was tiled flooring and on the other side was carpet. Within a few minutes, it was getting slightly noisy amongst the raised, muffled voices of the other patrons. His head was still spinning after the discovery of his father’s letters, and he knew he’d have to confront his father eventually. It’d be nice if he could ignore his past altogether. “Penny for your thoughts, Johnson,” said Julie.
