A SUSPECT
On Monday afternoon, Lisa leaned back in a chair in Perusi’s office. He had called her in for an update.
As Perusi and James stepped into the room, Lisa said, “Detectives. What’s this about?”
They seated themselves across from her with a grey table between them.
“We wanted to ask you some questions about a visit you made in Carlton. Jude claimed that you had barged into his home. He further reported that you were harassing him.” He sighed. “And we generally don’t approve of civilians doing detective work on their own. Leave the investigation to us next time.”
