BREAKING STORY
Johnson ran his hand through his hair as he sat on the sofa, thinking about his father. He was sick and tired of his father’s excuses. Abandonment was abandonment. Why couldn’t his father admit he was a lying, cheating jerk and get the hell out of his face and out of town? He had enough to deal with.
Brushing off his ponderings, he grabbed the local newspaper and read the front page story, reporting “BRAVERY AWARD.” As his eyes scanned the copy, he flinched and his body went numb. The news story was about his father.
