That was not the only village that Victor saved anyway. The compass glowed many more times and he rescued place after place form the threat of raiding bandits. With time, more and more people joined him from neighboring towns because they believed he was a good man and they also believed in his cause. As time went by, he won a large following to himself and he became a powerful man in Nigola, most especially in Western Nigola where he held sway and was predominantly located.
