Third Time Lucky: 1999In cyberspace, I had found and joined a group called ‘ElderTG’ for trans people over the age of fifty. Soon there was a spinoff group of some of us who wanted to revisit puberty in the right gender. TGPlay was born and continued with various writers for several years. Somewhere in the early days of writing it, my character, Emery at age fourteen or less (and immature for that) dropped a frog down the back of the girl, Robyn (who came in around sixteen) who had a crush on him. Heaven knows why. But we dared each other to meet in real life after she asked me to the Sadie Hawkins dance at our imaginary high school, Gendreville High.
