From hot to cold hearted

Its been a day, a day. Lily couldn’t believe, how just yesterday she walked to her husband’s office going to have lunch with him and he just.. wasn’t there. She rang Owen but no answer, rang again no answer again. She went to the reception area and again found no one there. Lily didn’t work in her husband’s office she worked across the way, she was head designer and CEO of Kingfisher International. No one knew she was CEO as it was her and her brother who split the business. She was CEO of the smaller office in London while her brother Paul was the big CEO in New York. She prefers the quieter life so she likes to say she the head designer. She met Own 7years ago and she just fell for him. Panic started to rise in her stomach, did something happen? Lily ran around and found an assistant. “Oh thank god, where is Owen? I cant find him! Is he ok?” The young lady looked at her like she was a werido and with a sneer said “And who are you? He is with his wife at grand Elizabeth hospital, she had a miscarriage!” The blood in her body seemed to just disappear, “You what? Wife? Miscarriage?” Then girl just looked at her like she was disgusting. Lily turned and thought “right Lily deep breath think… if thats true i need to go to the hospital and make sure” the blood came back and started to boil if was true all hell was going to break loose. They said they wabted to try for baby 5month ago. She walked towards her car and made a quick phone call. “Robbie, look into my husband for the past 5months, bank cards, were he been, whos he been with, leave nothing out give to me by tomorrow afternoon, my office.” With that she hung up. No need to chat when she knows what she wants. She drove straight there “Hello, sorry am looking for a Mr Owen Douglas am…” she paused and decided to lie. “His sister i was told to bring lunch” she held up the lunch box to confirm her lie. Or half truth. “Oh thats good, room 304 though visiting times finish in 10mins.” She went there and luckily seen a doctor come out of the room playing smart grabbed her phone and started recording. “Excuse me doctor are you looking after Mr Douglas and the girl in the room?The doctor turned and seen her “yes, his wife, why can i help you?”A smile spread on her face, although she felt sick to her stomach about what he just said, it wasn’t looking good. “ sorry i didnt get the information on my here, why he is here is everything alright with my brother” she lied “Oh your brother is alright but his wife, MaryRose had a miscarriage and is very weak.” A chill ran down her spine. She needed more information. “My brother never told me he was even seeing anyone, are you sure he is the father?” She was being thorough she needed to make sure. “Oh am very sure she was 2months along and he been coming to all the appointments, said he would be very happy to be a daddy soon, its a real shame but luckily nothing bad happened so your brother can always try again.” Try again seemed to echo in her mind that son of a b***h. In her mind she was killing him and throwing things about she gave a polite smile. “Doctor would you give this to Mr Douglas he forgot his lunch, i have to be back to work now and i dont want to interrupt them” she smiled and walked away very quickly she had things to sort out. She turned her phone and stopped the recording, anger rising up on the inside. She will vent later at home. She made a another phone call. “Robbie, get my locks changed within the hour.”
