CHAPTER 7: Luna
We are wolves.
We are humans.
We are werewolves.
Alnwick pack is an old family going for many years. The members have witnessed the death of its Elders and the courage and bravery they have shown before they passed away. The Elders of the Alnwick pack has marked the history of werewolves. They were absolutely fearsome and utterly respectable. Everyone bows down at the sight of them, and no one dares to step on their way. Those who dared died on the spot with blood horribly spread on the grounds staining the green leaves and beautiful flowers.
Unlike wolves, the Alpha of the pack does not stand as the father of the family. Not all the pups are the children of the Alpha and the Luna, but rather composed of the pups of other parents in the pack. The Alpha, who was seen with potential and chosen by the Elders, stands as the leader of the pack and ensures the enforcement of the rules and regulations within. Must be wise and strong to lead the hunts and keep the family’s safety.
Filling the positions means showing the Elders that you are worthy of the rank. Dahil sa mataas ang respeto ng mga batang taong lobo sa mga Nakatatanda ay sila ang hinahayaang magdesisyon o pumili ng mga mamumuno sa grupo. The Alpha seemed cruel and harsh that I took a step backward the first time he laid his eyes on me in his wolf form. He was the biggest I have seen. His fur was gray and his eyes were black. Labas ang pangil niya at umaangil siya sa akin nang mga oras na ‘yon kaya ako natakot. I was a helpless pup back then—small and weak. He went closer to me, sniffing my fur and pushing my body through his head. I didn’t know how to defend myself not until the Alpha told me his objective.
When we arrived in their territory, the General also arrived with two other pups. They were Finn and Terra. Finn looked miserable that time. Napakarami niyang sugat. Finn was an Epsilon in birth. His father was an Epsilon, too, who died in the most terrible way I know.
The omegas helped us understand the history of the pack. The warriors helped us with our training. They were fond of having Finn who could already fight their level. Sa mga pagsasanay ay may ilang natatalo si Finn.
All those years, I wonder how Finn fell in love with Terra. Ako ang laging nasa tabi niya pero bakit iba ang nakikita niya? Kung hindi dahil sa akin ay hindi sila magkakakilala, hindi sila magiging malapit sa isa’t isa. Kung hindi dahil sa akin ay hindi sila magiging magkaibigan.
Later on, Finn was held as the new Alpha of the pack when the former Alpha died together with the Luna. It was one of the darkest days of our pack. Hindi lang sila ang namatay no’n. Marami. The deaths of the members were one of the tragedies we encountered. Hindi namin maaaring pag-usapan ang kamatayan nila. The one fated to be Finn’s lifetime partner appeared, the female Alpha, the Luna appointed by the honorable Goddess of the Moon. Her beauteous was worth admirable. “The Luna is pregnant!”
Everyone cheered after hearing the news. Ilang buwan at manganganak na ang babaeng Alpha na magsisilbing patunay sa grupo na nararapat talaga para sa isa’t isa ang Luna at Alpha. They were all blind but not as blind as the mate of the leader of the pack. She knows who he loves deeply.
The male Alpha, Finn, is in love with the Delta, Terra.
