I contemplated what he said for a long time. Was I ready to meet my wolf for real? Be back in this life especially as a Luna where I’ll no doubt see Totem again? I wasn’t so sure. I sighed. I’ll compromise. I’ll train and do a week of werewolf routine with you. I will work on reconnecting to my wolf. To this life but under no circumstances can I be introduced as Luna or take on Luna duties. I held up a hand before he interrupted. If I can’t acclimate to this life successfully I’m sorry but I’m returning to my practice. Your pack needs a Luna happy to be one. Having me here miserable will drag everyone down. That’s my deal. She doesn’t want to be introduced as Luna in any capacity on the off chance she doesn’t acclimate well. The packs been waiting 8 years. They can wait another week. You’re going to be careful with her. She can know things but don’t push about her past don’t push about Luna. Let her acclimate without the extra stress. Then we’ll have another meeting next week and hopefully she’ll be joining us then.

We will do all we can to keep her safe. You don’t have to mate her but when she accepts you as a mate she needs to wear your mark. That way goddess forbid something should happen we have a better chance of tracking her and finding her. It’s a conversation she’ll be a huge part of but we’ll need to have it.

Thanks mom. I hope she’ll stay. She’s so smart and kind despite her past. She’s so confident in an exam room and great with kids. She’d thrive as our Luna if she can rekindle her relationship with her wolf. Even if she decides she can’t be here all I want is for her to have that connection to her wolf again. At the very least she deserves that much.
