Memory lane

We bade my mom farewell as I, my brother and my dad drove the car speeding off. I was very excited because it was 'daddy's day out' and I looked forward to it for a long time now since my dad promised, this month making it two years since he promised. He doesn't usually have time for any of us because he's military and he is always travelling. He once left for a war and I was very scared he wouldn't come back but then he did and promised us a 'daddy's day out' to make up for the lost times. I and my brother sang 'row row row your boat' as my dad drove. He wasn't much of a talker and didn't say a word. I and my brother were used to it anyway. "Alyssa let's count the number of cars we see, we've been singing row your boat for the past ten minutes". "I vote for that to", my dad finally said something "okay", I agreed. one....two...three... It seemed endless and fun to keep counting the cars on the road and sometimes my dad will point out a car we missed or laugh at us if the cars became too much and we had to count in a hurry.... ninety-eight...ninety-nine....hundred My dad swerved sharply off the road into a nearby bush and down our car went. It went tumbling down and everything came to a stop. I felt numb as I tried turning to see my brother. For a moment I thought he was paralyzed as his eyes were wide opened...then he turned... "Alyssa God wont allow us die right? He'll protect us right?" I couldn't reply and I felt tears forming in my eyes. I couldn't get myself to answer my four year old brother. I stretched my hands to stroke his face and he closed his eyes. I turned to see my dad all bloody. "Dad?".. I didn't get a reply and I started crying...soon my vision began to blur.. I tried calling out for help but my voice was all shaky and I wasn't making any sense. My vision became worse and soon I couldn't see anymore ***** "Mrs Wilson I'm very proud of you. You gave a wonderful presentation". "Thank you sir", I replied. My phone bagan to ring and I gave my manager an apologetic look. "No problem you can make your call" I smile and walk off to my office and listened to what the caller had to say. "What??!!!....an accident??!!!" I felt my whole world crumbling down.
