The Drugs

"Ah! It hurts, Bray... can't you take it slow? You look so horny. Can't those women satisfy you, hm?" asked Shienna with her face flushed from the hangover. The question that came out of Shienna's mouth stunned Bryan momentarily, confirming what she was saying. If that was the case, then so what? Not being sexually satisfied didn't mean Bryan would take it out on the woman who had broken his heart, no matter how big the urge was. He finally tied Shienna's hands again and got off the bed after he had finished everything. "Bryan! What are you doing? Where are you going? Let go of me, you bastard!" Shienna screamed as she kicked around, trying to put up a fight so she could hit Bryan, but he was easy to dodge. "I'll let you go after the drug wears off. In the meantime, hang in there, okay? I'll go first. Oh, yes. Since you're not wearing any clothes yet, I'll lock the door, make sure no one will take advantage of the situation, and... even if you manage to escape, don't open the door to just anyone unless your consciousness has returned." Bryan then waltzed away, leaving Shienna in the room screaming for help while he met the bodyguards and Elea gave them their assignments. "I have to do something. You guys stand guard in front of the room; make sure no one opens the door." "Wh-what happened to Mrs. Sanders, sir?" Bryan thought for a moment. He could not tell these two that Shienna was under the influence of drugs. He had hired Elea and a bodyguard whose name he still did not know, but trusting them ultimately would not be easy. "There's a problem, but you just do as I say. If I find you opening the door for her, you know the consequences." Bryan left the penthouse and hurried to his main office on the third floor and found a stack of files on the desk. One of his assistants hurried to follow him into the room. "Any updates on the project we're running?" Bryan asked the well-dressed woman standing across from his desk. The woman nodded, filling him in on some essential things he needed to know. "Mr. Hashimoto is planning to build a bar in Tokyo and hopes to partner with our company." Bryan placed a forefinger on his chin, thinking and considering the new project his assistant had just described. "Have you looked into the prospects? A new venture in a big city will require a lot of effort to compete with others. Especially since our field of endeavor is so opposite to his." "We're in the culinary, hospitality, and property fields; I think it's still possible if we provide support in terms of buildings. Many colleagues admire your designs, sir." "No, I don't. I'm not in the design business, so all I make is for my use only. And this is a form of my dedication and love towards someone. There's no way I can afford to give my designs away for people to use." The assistant fell silent, awaiting Bryan's decision on his colleague's proposal. Bryan opened the sheet on the desk with 'Hashimoto Jun' written and gasped when he saw the few writing lines there. "This is crazy! He's planning to set up a prostitution bar. Has he lost his mind offering me this kind of business? Email him a rejection letter immediately." "But, sir—" "What else?" "Look at the last page of his proposal. He told me that if you intend to refuse, you should look at the last page of his cooperation proposal." "Tsk! What a hassle!" Bryan grumbled, but he opened the last page of the proposal before him and was shocked to read what was written there. "Bastard!" *** "ELEA! ROXIE! Help me... please open the door. I'm freezing..." pleaded Shienna, trying to break free, but her efforts had been fruitless. Instead, she felt exhausted, and her throat felt dry. "Elea, I'm thirsty... help me." Elea turned to Roxie, the bodyguard, but the woman only gave her a puzzled look while shrugging her shoulders. "P-pardon us, Mrs. Sanders. Mr. Sanders asked us not to open the door or release you. We must wait for him to return." "That bastard! You work for me, so it's only right to comply with my request. Open the door now, or you'll find my dead body! I'm not threatening; I'm serious!" Elea didn't dare to contradict Bryan's orders but was also sorry to see her employer begging her to open the door. However, after much deliberation, Elea let Shienna out of the room. Before she even stepped inside, what she saw made her and Roxie clamp their mouths shut in shock. "Madam, what happened to you?" "Don't talk too much, Elea. Quickly untie my hands." "But, ma'am. Master won't let me do it." "Elea... don't you pity me like this? My hand hurts so much. I'm thirsty and hungry. Please..." Both of them fell silent hearing Shienna's complaints that made them feel sorry for her. Roxie and Elea looked at each other, and in the next second, they had already released Shienna and let her breathe freely. Free from the bonds that made her wrists red, Shienna hurried to clean herself up. There was something she had to do because if Bryan's suspicions were true, then someone had snuck into their house. When Bryan arrived home, he was surprised by the presence of men in uniforms, some of whom seemed to be investigating objects in the same unique style as he had seen in his favorite detective series. "What's going on? Why did you bring the police here?" Bryan asked. His forehead had been furrowed since he had been at the office, and now his head was throbbing with the presence of people he didn't expect. Shienna turned around, grabbed something from the grasp of one of the uniformed men, and showed it to Bryan. She ignored the man's restrictions because she wanted Bryan to know what had happened to her. "You see this. Someone dared to sneak into your penthouse and make a stimulant drink I drank." Shienna squinted, looking at Bryan, who did not react to her report. "You're not surprised? Or is it your own doing!" "Don't make accusations. What good would it do me to put stimulants in your drink? And even if I did, I wouldn't have left you when you were in lust. Right?" Shienna was stunned. Her face turned red as she heard her husband's words that seemed to hit her. It was true; Bryan hadn't touched her at all. Then who put the medicine in? "Are you making an appointment with your comfort women? They could have done it to get you to f**k them." "Your thoughts are too dirty and absurd, Shienna. Is that the definition you've drawn in your head, huh?" Bryan's words did not make Shienna retract what she said, but she was also reluctant to admit the sentence's truth. She then returned the plastic to the police officers and let them do their job while she prepared to go somewhere. "Where are you going?" "I'm not a prisoner here, so I'll go wherever I like. After all, aren't you tired of seeing me at home like a stone that doesn't move anywhere and stays where I am?" "It's not safe out there for you." "You've already hired a bodyguard for me, so let's give her a proper job. Let her escort me wherever I go, or if not, then I'll hire Ray back." Bryan's jaw tightened as he heard Shienna's response, which constantly contradicted his every word. He wasn't worried about his wayward wife but his reputation. If he didn't follow Shienna wherever she went, he couldn't guarantee she wouldn't cause trouble. Shienna was a proud woman who sometimes indulged her emotions too much, no matter where she was. Under these circumstances, amid the gossip that spread so quickly, it would be dangerous to let her wander around without his supervision. Unfortunately, Bryan has important work that doesn't allow him to stay close to his wife. "Whatever you say. I don't want to hear that name again," Bryan replied after consideration. Letting Shienna have a little more freedom would be better than allowing her handsome bodyguard to return to work for her. Bryan let Shienna walk away while the police officer and detectives finished checking every corner of the room, then came up to him and gave him a few guesses. "We found some fingerprints on the glasses and table, Mr. Sanders. As for the stimulant in your wife's drink, we will investigate further. We'll let you know when we get the results." Bryan nodded slowly, but his feelings were uncertain at the moment. Who had put the stimulant in the orange juice that Shienna was drinking? And what was the purpose? "Wait!" Bryan approached the officer, who was ready to leave. "What do you think was the motive for doing this? Is it for a bad purpose? Because Shienna is pregnant, I'm worried about her condition if she drinks the stimulant drink." "As for the motive, we haven't found it yet, but you should check on your wife to ensure she's okay." The uniformed men left after providing some answers to Bryan's questions. He returned to the house and stared at the table where the investigation traces were left. Bryan approached and looked for a moment and found an object left there. "Did the police forget about this? Or did they deliberately leave it here because it had nothing to do with their investigation?" Bryan muttered as he looked at the thing on his palm. His brow furrowed as memories popped into his head, and right then and there, he decided to follow Shienna wherever she went.
