Rescued by the Prince

- How Do I Really Feel? -

Heavyn's POV

He catches the look on my face. "What was that? Show it to me now," he asked. I shake my head No. "It was nothing. Honest," I said. He grunted. "Show it to me now. Obviously it was about us, since it made you shut off your phone screen before I could see it," he said. I just head back to the bed and place my phone under my pillow for safe keeping. He follows me into the room. 

"Why won't you show me what you saw? And why are you acting this way? Did something happen?" he asked. "Nothing happened, Your Highness. What do you think could have happened? It's not important, plus I think you should have gotten the same headline as I did on your phone as well," I said. He looks so confused at my answer that he decides to check his phone in front of me. He notices the headline and looks right at me and sighed.

"Look, it's not what you think. She means nothing to me. She was from my past and she took me off guard. I didn't know or realize that you had caught that," he said. I shake my head. "No, it's alright. We are just faking, right? We are not really engaged to you both, right? Isn't it just for the public eye?" I asked. He laughed. "Our engagement is not fake in any way. We are actually engaged to one another and will soon be wed," he said. I gasped. 

"Stop lying. This is not going to happen and we will never work. Or be together," I said. He grabs a hold of my hand and comes a bit closer to me and whispers, "Heavyn, love. We are engaged and going to be married, believe that." I remove my hand from his. "Not in your wildest dreams. Not after tonight anyway; not after what I saw and what the public saw. You didn't even try to push her away. Seems to me like you want to get back with her and I don't want you to regret anything that could have been because of me," I said.

I look at his expression because it was one that I had never seen before. He smirked. He placed his phone on my desk table beside the bed. "How do you really feel about me, Heavyn? Tell me what your true feelings are and nothing else," he asked. I just lay down on the bed and. face the other way with my back to him. That didn't help at all, because he got on top of me and turned me to face him. I try squirming to get away from him. 

"Get off of me! Why are you doing this to me?" I cried out. "Because I want to know how you really feel about me. I will get off you when I hear what I want to hear, got it?" he said. I sighed and stop squirming. "Fine. If you really want to know, I will tell you the honest truth. After seeing what I saw tonight, I realized that I might actually be falling in love with you because my heart hurt and started beating fast," I said, looking away shyly.

He smiled. "What else? I know that you have more to say to my question," he asked. "Why are you so confident about this? Where does that come from?" I asked. "I know because I see it in your eyes and your actions as you turned away from me right after you said the first part to me," he said, with a smirk. I sighed. "You are right. That I have more to say to you," I say. 

"I didn't want to fall in love with you because I feel that I don't deserve happiness with anyone else; at least not after what has happened to me," I say. He clenches his teeth. "Don't you dare think that way! Nothing that happened to you was your fault. Or your sister either. You both didn't deserve what you had been through," he ordered. I sighed. "But, when I look at you and hear the things you say to me, it makes me want to believe that we can be happy with someone again, no matter how long it takes to regain trust with them," I said, with a shy smile. 

He smiled. "And I want you to always feel this way because I will never let anyone hurt you or your sister again. I know Rex will never hurt your sister or let anyone hurt her either. I know that our image has been tainted enough from the headlines and it may take some time for you to trust me fully, but I want you to know that I am working on making myself into a better man and future husband to you," he said. 

I gasped. "You still want to marry me? And what if I say that I don't want to marry you anymore? What would you say?" I asked. "Of course I still want to marry you. You never did anything to hurt me. I will work to do anything to get your heart and have you be mine forever," he said. I smiled. "Well, you honestly don't have to worry about having to try to get my heart because you already have it. You have had it for a long time now," I said, shyly. 

He smiled happily. "Are you serious?! You have made me the most happiest man on earth! We will broadcast our official marriage with your sister and my brother as well, on this coming Monday! To let the world know that our wedding will be happening soon also!" he cheered, like a little kid. I giggled. I hit him playfully on his shoulder. He kisses me softly on the lips and I kiss him back. 

~A while later~ We hear a knock on the door. Someone is calling for us and I tell him to get off so I can check. He gets up and I go check the door. I open and see Destiny and Rex there, smiling. "What happened? Why are you both here smiling like this?" I asked. "We are happy for the both of you and excited to share the news with mom and dad," Destiny answers. I smiled. 

We head to see mom and dad. Their room door is open and they are both talking and laughing about something. "Dad, you're awake! We're so happy! How do you feel?" I call out. Our parents smile at us. "I feel so much better. Much thanks to these wonderful healthcare professionals they had for us. They did a fantastic job working to take care of me," he said back. I happily hug my future husband, Devin, tightly and whisper, "Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me." 

He smiled and kissed my forehead. Our parents cleared their throat. "My darling daughters, may we talk with you both in private? If that's alright?" our mother asked, calmly. We nodded. The princes say goodbye and we'll see them later. They shut the door on their way out. 

"What is going on there? Explain this to us," our dad asked. We sure begin to tell them everything.
