The Alpha

Chapter 2

These past seven years I have been taking care of my bike, but I didn't want to bring it just yet, so I left it with Chris.

Once I arrived in town, I went to the orphanage to see if Chase was there. He'd be 13 right now so he might still be there.

Upon arriving I got a bad feeling like something was wrong, but I just dismissed it and continued making may way to the office. I was informed that he had ran away a few months ago and had left a note saying that he wanted to begin a new life away from the bulling and his depressing surroundings. I couldn't help but think to when he was little, he was bullied constantly so I don't blame him and me, the only person he talked to leaving so early in his life might have set a bad example.

After I left, I went straight for the cave. I carried my bag into the similar yet different forest, seven years will give you that feeling, and to the back of the waterfall. I was tired so I might just take a nap.

A gasp escaped my lips when I saw that the cave had a bed, desk, better shelf, mini fridge, and a TV. Heading to the mini fridge a snatch some granola bars while passing the shelf. The ones with yogurt glazed on tops. I opened the granola bar and took a bite.

"Mm"

I opened the fridge next and took a water instead of a coke or Gatorade that were also stocked inside.

I know I should probably leave these things aren't mine and this cave clearly isn't anymore, but I have a feeling. I don't know how to explain it. It feels more at home than ever. I also want to find that amazing smell that is surrounding the walls of the cave. I don't really like coconut, but I love the smell. And right now, I'm smelling coconut with a hit of vanilla, and it’s so intoxicating.

I'm now on the bed, half laying half sitting, I'm leaning against some pillows and grab the remote control. As I'm flipping through channels, my eyelids begin to feel heavy and I let them close, falling into deep slumber.

Meanwhile.

Liam's POV

"OK, so you wanted to talk to me?” I said with a grin on my face knowing exactly what she wanted.

"Yes Alpha, I want...more." She replied with mischief in her eyes.

"Oh, you do." I said while licking my lips. Looking at the her from top to bottom. She was wearing a sexy, short, red dress that hugged her curves. I slowly made my way to her, taking her off guard when I pushed her to the wall, smashing my lips on hers roughly.

I have been with many of my pack's females because being the kind guy I am I can never say no to giving them pleasure.

I felt her hand make its way from my hair to my back and that’s when I felt someone pass though my territory. I immediately pushed her off, causing her to fall to the floor. I was shaking in anger. How did someone manage to get passed my warriors? Who dares cross into my land without permission? And why wasn't I notified there was someone near the border?

I walked past her and outside the pack house. When I saw warriors coming my way, I immediately questioned why they hadn't informed me and why they did nothing to prevent it.

"Why didn't any of you mind link me that there was someone close to the boarder? and Why didn't you stop whoever it was from passing?" My voice was fuming with anger and demanding answers, which made them flinch.

One of them answered "Sorry Alpha, we were shocked when we saw a human girl walking on her own this deep into the forest and it looked like she knew her way around."

What is a human doing this deep in the forest? What could she be doing? How does she seem to know her way around?

"What way was she headed towards?"

"She entered through the southern part of the pack and seemed to be going straight."

I am going there myself to check this out. If she seemed to know her way around and she specifically entered through the south, then she might be the one that found the cave before me. I found that cave about two years ago and the things there were ugly and full of dust so I through them away. I added some things of my own and I only went there when I needed space and to be alone. When I found it, it was part of no man’s land, which is where rouge wolves lived.

Rouges are werewolves without a pack, most lose part of their human side and turn animalistic. They either get kicked out their pack because of something they did wrong or are born into it.

Since I thought the place was peaceful, I expanded my territory about ten miles to the south and adding the rest would make it another twenty-five miles going outward in the north, east, and west entrances.

I shifted into my wolf with them still next to me and ran towards the cave. On my way there, all I could think about was Why would she travel here alone, so deep inside, and know her way around?

Upon arriving I began sniffing the air only to be hit with the most mouthwatering scent I have ever smelled.  It was like I was surrounded by roses. It was strong like it was close, but when I started making my way to the back of the waterfall, I had to stop a few steps away from the entrance of the cave, because my wolf, Jake, yelled in my head.

'Mate'

'Mate, go to mate.'     Jake yelled excited.

He said the word I was so scared to hear. My parents never loved each other. My father just used her to have me, to have an heir. He never treated us like a family, never treated my mother like a mate or me like a son. To him all I was, was his heir, the next Alpha.

 I started training at 3. I saw pack members with their families and mates, so I believed I could find that one day. That was until my mother left us. She rejected her mate and left me alone with the monster I called my father. He made me do horrible things which made many people in my life leave, including my mother. At age 15 I gave up on finding love of my own because she will just leave me like the rest of them.

'No, we are NOT going to claim her.'

'But she's beautiful and we love her' he replied with a whine.

'Stupid wolf, we haven't even met her.' he was getting me angry.

'Yeah, but she is our soul mate, our other half,  the one made for us. We'll lo...' I cut him off

'No, she'll leave like everyone else when she finds out what we did. She will leave. She will.' and with that I block him.

I started walking inside again and the smell kept getting stronger. Once I was inside, I saw a girl laying on my bed with snacks next to her. She looked so beautiful and peaceful, sound asleep, I couldn't help and stare.

She had long eye lashes, cute little nose, and cherry pink lips. OMG her lips, I had to fight to urge to kiss them. Her long wavy hair all to one side covering part of her eye. I moved the strands to the back of her ear and that's when her eyes burst open. They were mesmerizing, one purple and the other blue with a hit of green.

We stared at each other for a while until she moved, breaking her stares, which also got me back to the real word.
