Little White Wolf

I woke up to the sounds of s*x neighbors had behind the wall. They are just annoying with this sweet couple bullsh*t. And hey I'm just a teenager I shouldn't be listening to that crap all the time. I'm sure my dad wouldn't let it slide so easily. Well, I'll go grab some water as they probably are not going to finish anytime soon. Mom left me a note on the counter again. Sigh. I don't think I want to read it. It's probably one of her excuses anyway to not wait for her with breakfast. Don't get me wrong I stopped asking long ago. She works very hard since... dad is gone, but she's never here. I look at the clock and it's brutal to see 3:33 AM. Seriously had to look at the clock and see this! I have school soon and a test that will define the grade for the end of the year. I'm so tired, but they will not stop anytime soon. I'll text Jin and see if she's awake. I'm gonna grab a biology book just to study a bit more and a snack. It might take a while for Jin to respond. She works as a cleaner in one of the offices just to have money for living and hell... I don't know how she gets such good grades at school, but she is definitely a multitasker. Buzz buzz. 'Hey beautiful! What's up, noisy neighbors again?! Such rabbits' 'EWWW! YES! I'M SICK OF THIS PLACE! SOON I'LL TURN 18 AND I'M OUT!' Oh, I feel I messed up. I forgot to mention Jin is an orphan and she always bragged about how it would be to live in a house like mine. 'Aww I bet it is not so bad. Look at me... You wouldn't want to be in my place and that's what you'd need to do' Jin has a damn point as always. 'OKAY...Fine.... I'm sorry. It's just annoying. I know dad would do something so I could sleep in peace and mom just.... whatever' I really need to speak to someone and I know she is orphan and I'm just whining about my parents to her... Inappropriate you say? Yes and she is my friend and she understands. 'Don't be so harsh on her. I'm sure she is in need of heal as well. Let's change subject are you ready for test?' I feel my stomach drops on the floor. Of course I'm not ready! I never feel ready you i***t! I hear banging on the ceiling I guess I'm not the only one having problems with sleep. I grab my phone again in the dark so the only light is little blue of the phone screen. I respond Jin and I hear some noise in bathroom despite from obvious once that woke me up. 'Yeah I'm ready I guess... I'll be going back to sleep now. I guess it's getting peaceful enough to rest. Love you!' I put my phone in my back pocket and make my way to the door where dad's baseball bat is standing. We live in a not really nice neighborhood with all the sketchy people around. Our flat is not too big and not too small just enough for two. The bathroom is located right next to old emergency stairs. I don't know why, I usually see them closer to the living rooms. I guess our block is doomed at some point. I try to make no noise and of course I hear my phone buzzing. Sh*t. I hear the sounds stopped in the bathroom. I sway up the bat and slowly open the doors. What the heck?! It's empty... meh mom probably left the window open. I placed the bat against the wall and leaned in to close the window, then I heard something fall into the bathtub. Shivers went down my spine as I grabbed a bat and slowly turned. Phone buzzing again, but like it's calling this time. I open the curtain with one hand and it's.... it's Jin.... hiding in the bathtub. "What the hell! I could have killed you with that Jin! UGH!" I swear that girl is a handful sometimes. "That's why I started calling! And why did you lie to me in the first place! I'm your friend and we should be honest with each other!" I slapped her forehead with an echo sound like there would be no brain. "YOU COULD COME THROUGH THE DOOR!" I'm dramatically pointing at the door. "Oh don't be mad. I swear it's the last time. I know you are on your guard when you're home alone.... but look at that" she says swaying paper bag walking out of the bathtub "What do we have here?..." she's talking to me like to a little child, if she pinches my cheeks I'll flip.... and she does that OH MY GOD "Your favorite snack..." "Jin I'm tired and I want to lay down..." It's been a long day with interrupted sleep. "OHHHH I know you would love to eat those nice tender chicken wings...." she smirks and I actually swallow on that though I'm hungry I jump a little to grab a bag cos she's playing with me seeing I want it so bad. She jumped on a couch and told me to grab a blanket. I knew what she planned so I set an alarm to 6AM just in case we fell asleep and went for an ordered blanket. I turned on the TV and we watched some late night shows. She wanted me to stop on the one with erotic stories and gave out a little moan pretending to be my neighbor. "Jesus... shut up" so I changed the channel. I eventually stopped on a paranormal activity show I knew it gave her creeps so she snuggled in me all the time shaking. Maybe I needed that more than anything else now. Just a hug and she is here most of the time when I need her. Especially when mom is not there she likes to come for a sleepover. I don't know when I've fallen asleep. Seems like it took me forever anyways. I felt so light and everything was bright, it's been awhile since I had this dream. On the horizon I see my dad, I try to come closer and I shout for him and he always turns back away from me. When I'm close enough, like in hand reach and I blink he turns into a beast. A Giant Wolf ... but not like in Van Helsing but more like Twilight. I don't know much about this fantasy stuff Jin is more of an expert. At this point I wish the alarm would go off already cos I know the end... Spoil alert I'm being attacked, I bleed to death blah blah blah.... Same old boring dream. Alarm goes off. I stretch seeing Jin already making coffee. My mom would have killed me for that, but yes mom I drink coffee! I would tell her for sure if she would be here now.... I go to my room and pick some clean clothes for me and for Jin and I hear her from the kitchen making breakfast "Dot? You wanna lose or be more fried?" I hum a little because I try to focus with so much less sleep than I should. "Just do the same as for you we don't have time for this" I throw her shirt and some jeans and she dresses up in the kitchen while sipping coffee. I pack a backpack because after school I want to take her to a special place I've found. "Wait you don't know what scrambled eggs I like?! I thought we were friends?!" I say walking into the kitchen she giggles and we sit down to eat to then take off to school "I've had that dream again" I say while we walk through the crowd rushing to work. Jin goes pale and gives me a stare "I know what you're going to say... but I'm not crazy it's the same exact dream" she grabs my hand and tries to give me an honest smile saying "At least you can see him" I scoff rolling my eyes "Yeah just before he almost rips my throat out" we made it to school. The first lesson is biology and Jin spots my nemesis at the stairs. "Please do not say a word..." I growl through the teeth. "Me or her..." Jin giggled knowing already we will be late for the test. "Don't make a mess this time, pwetty pwease" she makes that cute face again no one can resist but I'm focused on the target like it would be my next pray. Jin tries to rush me by pulling my hand, but I almost freeze. "Hey Dot!" ginger bastard, I feel hair on my head rises with anger "Instead of dad you have your orphan babysitter walk you to school... how cute" I pull my hand out of Jin's and run to Roxi with fist ready to punch. In the last second out of nowhere my fist was caught. It's man's hand almost as big as my dad's. I know I'm in trouble, nothing new. "Dorothy Gladewright, you might want to come with me." He pulls me by fist and seems leading me to the principal's office. Jin stands like frozen with a frown on her face and a bunch of girls standing with Roxi laughs. Sigh, so that's how I'll fail the test. Just great.
