ArtEarny's POV They say love is everything anyone can ever need, well what happened to Melinda might change that perspective. Love can aid you to embark on that long journey, but cannot lead you to the destination solely. Melinda Watson was a 23 year old entrepreneur, who was into art and fashion dwelling inside Florida. As her creativity reached out to numerous people, she became a bit famous in Florida. So many men would come around her, as she was a young curvy brown skin girl with a pretty cute face. But she would reject all their proposals, due to her self-determined character. But somewhere in the month july a twenty five year old broad handsome guy entered her mall, he came to discover her handworks and collect some stuffs. When he saw Melinda, his gaze got stuck in her in eyes for some few seconds, before he came back to his senses. He introduced himself, "hi, am Marven Clark, owner of Fallen collections and modelling." he stretched his hand for a handshake, so she shook his hand and introduced herself also, "hi! Am Melinda, the CEO of Imagine Hearts." At first Marvin was into her but he was too focus to pulse for love. After some few weeks of buying from her, their emotions towards eachother became really deep. So Marven asked Melinda out for their first date, after some minutes of hesitation she accepted. He took her to a very high-classed restaurant. Melinda in her red and black casual straight dress, and Marven in a gentle suit. The had a long fancy chats about eachother, then he debriefed the big question, "so who's the lucky guy?" She smiled and replied, "probably wandering somewhere." "Maybe not." He said. She also asked him, "And who is that lucky woman who caught the heart of the lion?" He replied, "two seconds away from me." She smiled differently this time but he kept on with it, describing her instead. She got up from her seat walked out the venue rapidly, he quickly settled the bill and run after her. He saw her walking towards her car so he rushed to her. "Come on Meli, I know you feel the same way I do." He exclaimed "It's not like that, everything is just happening too fast for me." She said, Marven drew closer to her and said, "it's been weeks already, and I tried to hide them, I tried to wait. But when you resist love, it grows, it overwhelms and it burst with madness. Let's not make that happen to us." She raised her head very close to his face and whispers loudly to him, "love is a scam Marven, it either takes something or everything away." "That's all it's takes in life, isn't it? You gain and you lose something or everything." He said, and abruptly kissed her for some few seconds. Then she pushed him away and stared at him for sometime, "do you love me?" Before he could give her an answer her lips were all over his lips, so they kept on kissing for a while. This is how these two lovers, Marven Clark and Melinda Watson united. Their relationship grew stronger, Marven introduced her to his parents and Melinda introduced him to her family too. After five months of courtship they successfully got married. They enjoyed the merits of love afterwards, but not for long. At their first year of marriage it was all about romance and love making, outing and shopping. Yet they were still courteous of their jobs. At the second year Melinda too became a millionaire like Marven, their blithe life was still progressing. After three years of marriage Marven asked Melinda to have a baby, she didn't agree easily but eventually she did. Now, they tried for a year but no baby was coming. Their merry life began to fade out, meanwhile Marven's parents too were looking to him to give them a child. A year passed yet no sign of pregnancy. Then, They went to the hospital to check the problem that is where they found out that Melinda was barren. Marven was really carried away with this news, when they got back home he was finding it really hard to even speak. She asked him what they gonna do about it, he burst with rage and vociferously said, "I don't know, okay!" He went to his room immediately. Melinda sat Infront of the couch and leaned her back against it and started crying her heart out. Their lives, their love never remained the same after this, although Marven apologised and said everything was gonna be alright. They kept trying, even gained faith in the Lord yet nothing changed. All this stress introduced Marven to the bar tender, he kept drinking every night after work. One night he was drinking and a very pretty lady came and sat by his side and started to converse, "Hey! You got a f****d up world too huh?" She said, "I don't wanna talk!" He answered, She smiled and said, "I don't either, am Samantha." She placed her card in his pocket, "incase you ever get sober." She left his site and he kept drinking. He then went home at midnight as he does lately, Melinda in her sadness kept her self together and looked after him and his company from falling apart. Marven saw Samantha in the bar again and he went to her, "How f****d up is your world?" He asked, "It's awful, Life's such a bitch." She replied. He said, "Am Marven, I gonna be the end of my blood line." "Guess you lucky then, I lost everything and plus." She said. "Nah! Yours is better than mine." Said he. The kept the conversation, Marven narrated his whole story to her and so did she. Samantha was the daughter of a very rich man called Dane, but she lost her parents when she was nineteen by car accident. See the father was on project that would make him a multimillionaire but his money alone was enough for a capital, so he had to lend money from a bank on account of his whole property. But he died in the middle of it all, so the bank came for the whole property. And every money in her account was stolen by her ex boyfriend. Her cold heart family too didn't care about her, so she's been living with her friends. Now she twenty two living on hope. Marven and Samantha was astonished at eachother's story, they got along very tightly. Marven found himself to stop getting drunk and focused on Samantha. So he would now come home late but not drunk, Merlinda started wondering what just changed because he was now acting like she being a barren was cool. She asked him one morning, "How are you now looking so fine with all this?" He answered, "Why shouldn't I, it's almost a year now we've been sobbing over this issue but let's not forget our love for eachother." He gave her a kiss, and she was like, "oh! It's been a long time we did this I almost forgot." Then she smiled and continued with the kiss. Marven left for work but he went to meet Samantha instead, they were literally dating at this point. After a full year Samantha was one month pregnant for Marven. This made him overwhelmingly happy he couldn't control himself, he was now willing to do anything for her. So he then asked her to live the mansion he got for her and come stay with him at his regime where his wife resides. She asked him, "how, but your wife doesn't know about us right?" "Yes she doesn't, so you'll be my childhood best friend whom I now found on the streets homeless." He replied. They continue with their romance. Marven carried out his heartless plan, Melinda was doubting him a bit but had nothing to lean on. After a month she could obviously see that they had something going on, because Marven wasn't scared of her finding out and Samantha had nothing a single affection for her. So she confronted him, "How dear you!? How, dare, you!? And you do it in my face now? " He replied, "What are you talking about, what did I do? My love." She said out of pain, "I've heard you both more than five times having s*x. And you will still lie to my face too? I suspected it from the beginning." He denied, "No babe, how could you? She's like my sister! Maybe you heard those from me massaging her feet because she has a way of twisting that regularly." Marven's defensive lines were powerful than Melinda accusations, so she let it slide.
