Malia didn't know how long she stayed in the dark dungeon, but the next thing, the door was yanked open and one of the guards from earlier came forward and dragged her out of the dungeon.
'Has the alpha regained consciousness?' She thought.
"Alpha Xavier has regained consciousness and he will decide your fate now," The guard told her, as if he heard her thoughts. The Westland Pack was one pack that hated rogues. They killed rogues without thinking twice.
She watched as they passed through the flight of stairs. The Alpha's chambers seemed to be out of reach, but they suddenly stopped walking when they reached a huge mahogany door.
She stared up at the cold guard. He knocked at the door.
There was no reply from whoever was inside.
"Come in" Five minutes later, she heard the deep voice.
The guard pushed the door open and he threw her inside roughly. She lost her balance and fell to her knees.
"Here she is my Lord," The cold guard said.
"Leave," The man said and the guard bowed and left.
Malia noticed two men in the room. One was facing her, while the other one had his back to her.
She wondered which one of them was Alpha Xavier.
She guessed it was the one who had his back to her. Judging from the cold and domineering aura emanating from him.
"What's your name?" The man facing her asked.
"Ma…Malia" She replied, her head lowered.
"What Pack do you belong to?" The man asked.
She contemplated whether she should tell him the truth.
"Lionsdale Pack" She replied.
"Send her back" The other man spoke up for the first time as he turned to face her. She took in the most beautiful man she had ever seen. Yes, using the word handsome to describe him would be an understatement. He was beyond that. Derek was beautiful too, but he was nowhere near this man. He had white hair and blue eyes. She noticed that his canines were out, including his fangs. Was he planning to kill her before?
She gasped. If she was sent back to Lionsdale, she would be killed immediately. She has violated the law twice.
"Please… Please don't send me back. I promise to stay away from your pack, but please don't send me back"
Alpha Xavier scrutinized her face properly. She was the girl that had saved him in the woods.
He had wanted to exercise a little and had run into the woods without his guards, but a group of rogues attacked him. He didn't know which pack they belonged to.
He had successfully killed about six of them, but more kept coming. He was never one to go down without a fight.
He managed to kill them all, but they succeeded in injuring him.
When he had seen the girl, he thought she was among the rogues that attacked him and he tried to kill her too. He didn't even know why he stopped. It was as if someone stopped him from killing her.
"Why should I do that? You are a rogue. You should know that I don't take it likely with Rogue. I should have killed you as soon as you got here. But I didn't. I'm doing you a favor by letting you go without killing you"
Malia had tears in her eyes as she stared at his cold face, devoid of any expression. He may think he is doing her a favor, but he isn't.
Derek would order her death once she steps into Lionsdale.
"Please… Just let me go. I'll stay away. I swear. Please let me go. Don't send me back to my pack. Please. I beg of you" She sobbed.
Alpha Xavier knew more than anyone why she didn't want to return to her pack. She will be killed. That was a law in his pack too. Anyone who leaves without being banished will be killed once he is caught.
He didn't say anything further. His eyes were trained on her oval face. He was grateful to her. She was brave. Other people would have run away at any given chance, but she didn't run, instead, she brought him to his pack. If for anything, he should consider the favor she did him.
Malia waited patiently as she pleaded to the moon goddess, Azira to heed her pleas. The man should change his mind. He should consider the help she rendered to him.
"You can go," Alpha Xavier grumbled at last.
Malia smiled in relief as she thanked him and scurried out of the room before the man would change his mind.
"You did well, Xavier" His gamma, Brian smiled at him.
Alpha Xavier shrugged. "I only considered the fact that she helped me when I was unconscious"
"Yes. That's the right thing you did. I must say she's brave though. Not everyone would do what she did"
Alpha Xavier nodded. "By the way, any information about the rogues that attacked me?"
Brian sighed. "There is still no information about them. But from the look of things, I think you wiped out a whole pack"
"Serves them right," Alpha Xavier said.
"Should I…"
The door opened and Daria, Alpha Xavier's first wife entered.
"Where are your manners, Queen Daria?" Brian asked. He had always hated Alpha Xavier's two wives, Daria and Sarah. They acted as first-class bitches. The only one he loved was Christiana, his last wife. She knows her place in the pack.
"That's no way to talk to your queen Brian" Daria hissed at him.
"Then learn to knock before entering the king's chambers"
"And why should I do that when he is my husband? Or are you two hiding anything from me?"
"Enough," Alpha Xavier said calmly. He never had to yell.
Brian sighed. "I beg your apologies Alpha"
Alpha Xavier nodded as he took his attention to his wife.
"And you, why are you here?"
Daria feigned a smile. "I only came to check up on you my Lord"
"As you can already see, he is hale and hearty," Brian replied.
Alpha Xavier glared at Brian. As much as Brian was his gamma, he wouldn't condone him disrespecting his wife.
Brian sighed. "I should get going"
"Please do," Daria said hoarsely.
He heard Daria's voice but didn't turn to say anything to her.
He needs to attend to something important.
He came outside and asked the guards if they saw the girl that just left the Alpha's office.
He was told that she had left already. He quickly ordered the guards to go after her and stop her.
Malia was about to reach the Crescent Moon Pack when she felt people walking behind her.
'Did the alpha change his mind already?' She thought as she took to her heels.
"Wait" She heard a familiar voice and stopped. She turned to see the man that was with the alpha a while ago. She wanted to run again, but something in her told her not to. If the Alpha had changed his mind, he wouldn't have sent his Gamma instead. It would be the guards.
The man got close to her.
"May I speak with you for a second?" He asked calmly.
'Ok… What was going on?'
Nevertheless, she nodded.
"Well, I wanted to ask which lineage you came from"
Malia frowned. Why would he ask her that? What did he want to do with her lineage?
"Please," The man begged.
Sighing, she replied. "Ostroma. I'm from the lineage of Ostroma. Why do you ask?"
Brian smiled. Ostroma. That was a lineage blessed by Azira the moon goddess. Women from that lineage were usually fertile and there has never been any news that women from that lineage were barren.
Alpha Xavier's three wives are barren and they can't give him children.
"Can you return with me to the pack?" Brian asked.
"No. I can't. I promised the Alpha that I will never return to his land"
Obedient lady. Brad smiled.
"Don't worry about it. I'll handle it. Just please come with me"
★★★★★
"Have you heard of the lineage, Ostroma?" Brian asked.
"Yes. Why?"
"The rogue is from that lineage. And I can assure you that she can give you children"
"You can't be serious, Brian. How could you come up with such a plan?" Daria asked angrily.
"If you don't want that, then give the king an heir," Brian said coldly.
Daria got angry at Brian's words and tried to hit him, but Alpha Xavier stopped her.
"Leave" The deadly order filled Daria with fear. She glared hard at Brian and scurried out of the room in tears.
"You do know she's your queen right?" Alpha Xavier scolded Brian when Daria left.
"I apologize my Lord"
Alpha Xavier nodded his head. He can never stay angry with Brian.
"As I was saying, you should strike a deal with the girl. If she agrees, you declare her a free wolf, a lone wolf"
"Are you sure it's going to work?"
Brian nodded. "Yes, my Lord.
"For your good, it better work, else I'll have your head on my table," Alpha Xavier said as he stood up from the seat and made his way into his inner chambers. The threat sent shivers down Brian's spine. He may be close to Alpha Xavier, but his threats always put him off balance.

It's been two days since Brian brought Malia back to the pack. He had told her to wait for him and that he would get back to her.
She had even been given a nice room, with a bed. It wasn't big, but still, it was better than the bamboo bed she sleeps on back in Lionsdale. The man had even ordered the maids to attend to her wounds.
She was already getting impatient. What was keeping him so long?
Shortly, she heard the door open and two guards entered.
"The Alpha will see you now," One of them said to her as they escorted her out of the room.
"Let's strike a deal," The Alpha said to her as soon as she was led into his chambers.
"A deal?" She asked in confusion. What was he talking about? What deal does a powerful Alpha like him want to strike with her?
"Yes. A deal" Alpha Xavier repeated.
"What deal?"
