Prologue
Amelia’s POV
It was the happiest day in my life. It was the day I was getting engaged to Rahul, whom my father chose for me. He was the only son of Rajdev Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, who had just passed the new IPS officer batch. We were dated for 6 months before our parents announced our engagement. I was looking at myself in the mirror of the beauty salon, when the makeup artist had completed her work. I was wearing a tomato red lehenga.
Arya: “Amy you’re looking gorgeous. Hope Rahul wouldn’t lose his control and marry you today instead of getting engaged. It will be a disappointment for me, because I want to enjoy all the pre marriage functions with you,” I blushed and slapped her hand which she stroked as if I had broken her arm. I took my phone from my purse and saw there was 7 missed calls from dad and Rahul. There was a message from an unknown number which took my attention. It was indeed a threat. ‘I know what you did to me and today you will pay for messing with the wrong guy. You are really going regret for creating problems in my life. See you soon in my hell” I really wanted to ignore the message, but an unknown fear engulfed me. I know nobody can hurt me, because my father is a police officer and my brothers are always there within a hand reach whenever I was in trouble.
Dismissing the unpleasant thoughts I went to the parking lot where my car was waiting for me and saw Raju uncle standing beside the car. As I walked near I heard a g*n shot and saw Raju uncle was on the ground with bleeding shoulder. I ran as fast I could when I hit on something and lost my balance. The next moment I felt somebody grabbed my hand and pulled me up before I hit the ground. When I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar face, which I hadn’t seen for over 7 years.
Guy: “Are you in a hurry to attend your engagement. Sorry to interrupt, today is not the day it will happen. You will be staying with me for a month. Consider it as a punishment to interfere with my business.” It was Vivaan, the guy I had a huge crush during my school and college days, until he decided to humiliate me in front of the whole college calling me sister type and I am not worth for him.
Amelia: “What are you saying and how dare you interfere in my life after that damn day you insulted me in front of the whole college. You think you can kidnap me without tackling my bodyguards.” It was then I realised I was surrounded by his men and Arya was held hostage by one of Vivaan’s men. I felt somebody holding me and put a piece of cloth in my nose and mouth. I smelled something intense and a few moments later everything went blur and I went into slumber.
Characters
Vivaan Sinha: Son of Devraj Sinha. He is a computer expert and an infamous hacker. He helped his dad to cover all his crimes and political scandals.
Amelia Balraj Thakur: Daughter of Balraj Thakur who works in Mumbai police. She was junior of Vivaan and had a huge crush on him, until Vivaan insulted her when she was in college. She is a computer techie who helped her father and her fiancé Rahul to pull reigns on Vivaan’s illegal hacking. This was the reason for Vivaan to enter into her life and created problems.
Rahul Singh: Son of Rajdev Singh. He passed the Civil Service exam and joined IPS and completed his training. It was during his last months of training, he met Amelia and got engaged to her.
Balraj Thakur: Deputy Superintendent of Mumbai police. He has two sons and a daughter.
Baldev Thakur: Uncle and mentor of Amelia and younger brother of Balraj Thakur.
Aryan Balraj Thakur: Elder brother of Amelia and Vivaan’s classmate/nemesis.
Ayaan Balraj Thakur: Younger brother of Amelia.
Plot in brief
Amelia was a girl who was brilliant in science and math. So was Vivaan, but he was 4 years older than Amelia and was in her elder brother Aryan’s class. She saw how obsessed was her brother to defeat Vivaan and become topper of his batch. When Aryan was in 8th grade Amelia joined his school in 5th grade. Amelia started to like Vivaan when she was in 6th grade.
Vivaan didn't notice Amelia till she came to study in his college. She started to challenge him by modifying his prestigious project which made him popular among everybody in the college. When Vivaan discovered Amelia has a crush on him, he took the opportunity to satisfy his hurt ego by humiliating her in front of the whole college. Amelia was forced to change the college.
Years later Vivaan became a notorious hacker who helped his father and his team to do dirty politics. Balraj was in charge to bring down Vivaan for his crimes. He knew Amelia was capable of hacking high security systems and he assigned her to tail Vivaan. She succeeded to pass important information to her father who was able to stop the crime in time. Vivaan was upset to see all his plans falling apart. He investigated in detail and found it was Amelia who behind all these.
Once again his ego was hurt and he felt jealous. He planned to kidnap her on her engagement day and succeeded to destroy her reputation in front of the whole world. Amelia was devastated by this and decided to destroy his empire. Will Amelia succeed to avenge Vivaan for embarrassing her in front of everyone or will she surrender before him.
