Sage nodded grimly; her eyes wide with apprehension. “We need to act fast,” she urged, her tone urgent. “Alpha Dominic is rallying the pack warriors, but we need to be prepared for whatever comes our way.”
“Sage, stay inside with Mathew,” I instructed firmly, my voice carrying a sense of urgency as I glanced towards her. “Keep him safe.”
With a nod of understanding, Sage hurried back into the room, cradling Mathew protectively in her arms. I spared them one last fleeting glance before turning to follow Alpha Scott outside.
As we made our way outside the pack house, the scene that greeted us was one of chaos and devastation. My heart plummeted as I caught sight of Alpha Dominic walking past us, his form splattered with blood.
“Alpha Dominic...” I trailed off, my voice barely audible.
