She didn’t believe me I could see it in her face, the way it shut down. Not that I blamed her. I had messed up so much, hurt her over and over again. I knew it would take time to make her trust me.
But I was sure I could manage it . We were linked now.. forever. It might take time but she would love me again.
Right now I would take her liking me as a start, or even looking at me.
“That isn’t an excuse Diablo….” Her voice was firm, as firm as her eyes that were looking anywhere but at me. It was almost like she was afraid to look at me , like she would fall into my arms if she did.
