With great speed, the giant spider slashed at Viethra. But Myles pushed her away receiving the damage. Myles’s leg was wounded but Viethra cast Nature Embrace and healed it. The spider attacked again and spewed webs immobilizing the two. Viethra countered with Vine Bind and temporarily immobilized the spider giving them adequate time to move. Launching their counterattack, Viethra cast Vine Bind twice which Myles used as an opportunity to cut off four talons in a single strike.                  The spider became enraged and spewed poison at Viethra. Viethra was able to dodge but she took some of the damage. The spider quickly followed with webs completely binding Viethra to a tree. It also attacked Myles who went to rescue Viethra. Myles did several attempts to release Viethra but the spider prevented him. Seeing no way to rescue Viethra, Myles diverted all his attention in defeating the spider.                  He breathed and relaxed while he drew upon the power of the sword while not being completely overwhelmed by it. The spider attacked him using a talon but he managed to dodge it and sliced the talon in the process. With the spider losing all of its front talons, it focused on spewing webs and poison on Myles.                  Myles managed to run from each of the attacks. He slashed his sword at the spider’s right leg but missed most of the time. He finally landed a hit rendering it completely immobile. He cut all of its talons before finishing it by slashing its head from its body. He missed at first but he was able to do it by the second time. After putting all of the talons in the bag, Myles rescued Viethra from the webs.                  Now with 14 talons in their bag, the two were eager to finally finish the quest once and for all. They searched for giant spiders all around the grove but ended up in disappointment, only encountering goblins and minor serpents on the way. Finally, they reached a deep part of the grove which had traces of webs hanging all over the trees. They sensed an ominous presence in the groves. Myles tried to persuade Viethra to search in another part but Viethra insisted that it was her duty to slay every creature of decay which could bring harm to all creations of the seven deities.                  Entering deep enough the dead silent grove, they eventually reach a giant spider’s nest which rested the biggest giant spider they had ever seen. The giant spider was sleeping and the two saw it as an opportunity to finish the spider off. But as the nest was high up, they thought of a way to bring the spider down to the ground with just a single cut of one of the webs that supported the nest. After much thought, Myles climbed up a tree near the nest and after reaching a certain height, he jumped towards the nest cutting it in half. The giant spider fell and was awakened.                  Quickly, with Viethra’s spell, Nature Bind, they managed to catch the spider by surprise. Myles moved in and attempted to cut all of the talons but missed. Viethra strengthened her spell for Myles’s sake as he firmly held his sword quickly cutting six of the spider’s talons before it was completely crushed. The spider decayed but from where it disappeared a certain stone was left. It was white and shone translucent light. Viethra kept it and the two went back.                  With 16 talons in their bag and an extra four, everybody in the guild was astonished by what the two accomplished.  They got their reward for the quest and even got extra for the four talons. Viethra inquired about the mysterious stone that they found after the giant spider decayed. She showed it to the woman in the front desk and everybody inside the guild was even more surprised.                  The woman just stayed quiet and went upstairs coming back with another quest in hand. It was the most dangerous quest for experienced guilders. The woman smiled at them saying that the stone they found was quartz and could only be found after adult giant spiders are slain. The woman further explained to them that they were able to complete two quests at once. Overjoyed, they received the reward for the quests.                  It was dusk so the two needed to find a place to stay. They searched from street to street to find an inn where they could crash for the night. While searching, Myles stumbled upon an armory which displayed all kinds of armor. He bade Viethra spend some of the money they earned for their equipment. Viethra agreed and the two entered the armory. Inside, they saw weapons and armors of all kind. Myles got carried away and tried to buy things he did not need but Viethra prostrated him saying he should only buy what was needed.                  Myles only bought a full-body light armor without the helmet. Excited of his new equipment, he wore it after purchase. He had a hard time moving around but he got a little bit used to it. On the next street, Viethra saw a shop for mages. She saw a robe with a hood that tempted her to buy it. Before she knew it, she was already wearing the robe which was both stylish and shouted of the mage.                  They eventually reached the inn where they stayed at a two-person room at a very affordable price for the night. The two removed their pieces of equipment and armors and went to sleep on opposite beds.                  The next day then came and the two woke up early to prepare for the day. The inn had baths which the two used. Thinking that they already have enough money for their trip to Talus, they went to the market and shopped for supplies. Next, they went to the local stables where they bought horses. Myles wanted to go but Viethra was a little hungry so they took their time to eat. Viethra had pears and vegetables while Myles barely ate a thing again. His body size surprised Viethra why he was lean enough even though not eating much.                  The sun rose after they ate, and left Talida early. Using the map they got from Paul and Jon, they made their way safely to Siquia, where they were questioned. Siquia borders the merpeople seas and because of it, many skirmishes between humans and merpeople have happened in the past.                  They were able to answer each question and were allowed to enter. They followed the road which led them to a village by the sea. The village was pretty run down but the locals welcomed them with open arms. As the sun was already setting, they inquired as to where the inn was but the villagers told them that there was no inn in the village. The two searched for a place to crash until the village chief offered them to stay in his house in exchange for their services.                  Viethra and Myles agreed and they put their horses inside a rundown stable with their things. They went inside the chief’s house and were surprised to see so many knights and mages gathered. When the sun completely set, the knights went out and the village chief told the two to follow them.
