Prologue
Before the existence of the world, primordial deities existed, Chronemus and Proxemis. Chronemus, the god of time, balances all of what is happening in the universe. His counterpart, Proxemis the goddess of space, harmonizes the entire universe.
The union of these two deities resulted in the creation of the universe. Their children, the gods and goddesses of the elements, became the creators of all life in the universe. To please their parents, the six offspring gods and goddesses started creating their worlds. However, the worlds that individual offspring gods created always resulted in chaos.
The god of fire, Enhi, created uninhabitable constantly burning worlds that continued to give off light, eventually dying off. The goddess of water, Suilihn, made a water world which proved to be too cold for life to flourish. The god of the wind, Vertze, produced a world merely made of gales. The goddess of land, Terra, created a rough world purely constructed from her element. The twin god and goddess of darkness and light, respectively, were not able to create their worlds.
In their eyes, the worlds that they created were imperfect and were not worthy of showing to the primordial deities. So they agreed to create one perfect world together, which will reflect all of their elements and beings of their likeness. With her great strength, Terra molded the land and shaped all of its structures. Suilihn poured her grace to the land which resulted in the seas and oceans. Enhi gave the world enough warmth over the darkness. Vertze helped breathe life into the world by cooling off its surfaces by day. Finally, the goddess of light, Erian, and the god of darkness, Aeron, gave light and darkness which became the night and day.
As they were making the world, their elements suddenly combined in a single point, and from the face of the aggregate point, Vie, the goddess of all life, emerged. The other gods and goddesses were surprised with Vie’s emergence but once they saw her, they were suddenly filled with insatiable joy.
The six deities named the new world Pristinia for it is a world of pristine beauty reflecting all the will of the six offspring deities. Within the territories of Pristinia, the six powerful beings created their children from their image. As they were different from each other, their children were also unique from one another.
Enhi’s people became the dwarves who inherited the use of the fierceness of fire. Suilihn’s great grace and serene beauty gave birth to the merpeople whose beauty surpassed all of the other creatures’. Terra’s values and her stubbornness were passed on to the humans who became the inhabitants of the land cultivating the great soil in Terra’s name. Vertze’s children were the hawk people who lived one with the wind and harnessed its power to carry out justice. Erian founded the society of angels who sought peace with the other races. Aeron created the dominion of vampires who were masters of darkness. The goddess of nature, Vie, also made the order of elves to serve her. The elves protected all life precious to Vie and became one with nature.
The six deities looked at their new-made world and deemed it beautiful. They presented their new world and the goddess Vie to the two primordial beings. The two beings were pleased with Pristinia. They also saw how the six offspring deities were becoming regular creatures with their people. Enraged and concerned, the two primordial deities, Chronemus and Proxemis, banned the six other gods and goddesses to be in contact with their creation, though also promising to keep the flow of time and the balance of space intact with Pristinia,
The six saddened deities left Vie with the responsibility of keeping the balance within Pristinia. They left her with the six sacred gems that will restore the balance of Pristinia if it would be broken. With their gifts in Vie’s possession, they left Pristinia and returned to the singularity, the abode of the deities.
With her new responsibility, Vie felt pressured yet determined to carry on the will of the six creation deities to maintain the peace and balance within Pristinia. She kept the sacred gems in her possession and established a hidden theocracy deep within the Greenwood forest.
Chronemus and Proxemis liked Pristinia. However, when they saw the greed and selfishness of its inhabitants, they were filled with despise. They did not like where Pristinia was going. Chronemus saw a devastating future where Pristinia’s lands will be watered by blood and its seas as crimson as blood. Disliking what they saw, the two cast a curse over Pristinia, a curse that will return the world into nothingness.
Centuries passed and the other races also organized their own nations: Montiule, the kingdom of dwarves located on the western edge of the continent; Pacifica, the principality of the merpeople who ruled the seas and oceans; Terra, the human federation and the largest nation composed of different territories ruled by nobles; Dombruk, the eastern hawk people mountain territories; Pacis, the abode of the order of angels, which no creature aside the angels could go to; and Maurant, the southern vampire kingdom.
The more their civilizations advanced, the more the probability of imbalance grew. Dwarves started seeking new mountains to mine, hawk people started hating dwarves for the destruction that they bring to mountains, and humans began overfishing resulting in a feud with the merpeople. Eventually, the whole world was engulfed in the fierce flames of fighting and war.
The angels took the sides of the merpeople and the hawk people, while the vampires fought with the dwarves, further feeding the flames of a feud. Vie becoming aware of the situation knew what she had to do. She collected all of the sacred gems and grouped them. When the six gems came close together, they all shone. Each stone shone a different color.
The stones continued glowing until suddenly a bright light blinded their sight. Before they knew it all of the gems were gone. Vie was devastated and ordered her elves to prevent any creature from escaping the Greenwood forest. Moments later the elves found a piece of feather emitting a holy translucent light. Vie believed that it belonged to an angel and that perhaps the angels knew of the existence of the stones. The elves that she sent further found traces of animal blood which proved that vampires were responsible as well.
Enraged, Vie sought to retrieve the stones from their thieves. She organized an army and led the quest herself. She ordered half of her most elite unit to retrieve the stone from Pacis, while she recovers the stone from Maurant.
Undercover, she and her small army ventured to the southern lands and traveled from forest to forest. Little did she know that vampires already knew of their presence in their lands.
Days later, a messenger came to her bringing news of the failure of her unit on Pacis. She was devastated by the news and in her devastation, the vampires ambushed them. They managed to fight them back but the vampires’ numbers and battle versatility overwhelmed her army. During the fight, she saw a vision into the future. Knowing that it will happen, she ordered an elf to escape from the battle and to live to tell the prophecy that she foretells. The young elf successfully escaped with the knowledge of hope. Meanwhile, before she knew it, Vie was surrounded and with the last of her breath, she passed her power to a newborn elf. With her power passed, she turned into ash, and from the ash grew an olive tree. The olive tree grew fast and eventually died in a matter of seconds. Decades passed and the newborn elf has come of age.
