Flex was falling apart. But in typical flex fashion, he was closing off. He hadn't approached or called once , but quite frankly, I had my own stuff going off at this minute. Mum had come clean to dad. I'd kept Joseph out of the way and took him to the diner for tea while they talked. By the time we had gotten home, there were a few bags packed at the bottom of the stairs.
