CHAPTER FOUR Trent couldn’t get Krista out of his mind. He had first seen her a few times leaving her house and again on the porch of the elderly couple. Though he’d admired her, he couldn’t think of a way to introduce himself. Then Angel had provided him an opportunity. He’d rewarded her with an extra treat that night, even though she had managed an unauthorized escape. It was hard to concentrate on work on Tuesday afternoon. He kept thinking of Krista and her sweet smile. She was pretty. More importantly, she showed a wet and gentle spirit, and she liked his dog. When he got off work, he went home for a quick shower and shave. He’d picked up a small potted poinsettia at the store and now hoped he hadn't made a mistake. Not all women liked flowers.
