Predestined

First Day

I park my jeep and make my way to the double doors of the administration building. I have to pick up my schedule from the main office. The school is buzzing with so many new faces. This school is an all werewolf school since there are enough children in the pack to occupy it. Even the teachers are wolves.

“Hello.” I say to the secretary. “My Name is Ayla McDaniel and I need to pick up my schedule.”

“Oh, yes! The Alpha said you were coming today and made sure we had all your stuff prepared for you!” She said as she handed me my class schedule. “Cindy will be showing you where your classes are. Cindy! Come here and show Ayla around please.”

“My pleasure. Mrs. Cunningham.” Said a tall beautiful blonde. “Hi my name is Cindy Garrett. You must be our new pack member Ayla. It’s nice to meet you.”

“It’s nice to meet you too Cindy.”

We make our way down the hall as she points out things to me. “ that’s the science lab. Over there is the math corridor and down at the end of the hall is English. The school is broken up into several buildings. The cafeteria is outside the doors and to the left. I’ll be back to get you after your first class so don’t worry about getting lost.”

“Okay, bye Cindy and thank you!”

“No problem! I’ll see you after class.”

I can already tell her and I will become great friends, now time to get in there and learn!

The first half of the day seemed to drag by until finally it was lunch!

“You ready?” Cindy asked as she was putting a few things in her locker.

“Yes. I’m actually starving!”

We made our way down to the cafeteria and got in line. I was examining all the food when someone stepped in front of me. I smacked right into him!

“Hi, I’m jake.” He said with a smile. “Sorry for making you hit your face on me. I wanted to be smoother than that when I met the pretty new girl.”

He was obviously flirting but I’m not going to flirt back. I’m waiting for my mate. “Hello, My name is Ayla.”

“What do you say I make it up to you by taking you out sometime.”

“I’m sorry Jake but I can’t. My parents and I both agreed that I wouldn’t date because I wanted to wait for my mate.”

“Oh come on. It can just be a friendly thing.” He was about to keep pushing until a tall figure stepped between us.

“I believe she said No, Jake. You should also wait for your mate.” His voice boomed.

“I.. I..” Jake stammered.

“Do not Argue with your future Alpha!”

“ Yes Alpha” Jake turned away and walked with his tail tucked between his legs. The alpha turned to me and I was greeted with the most stunning pair of gold eyes.

“Hello, My name is Riot.” He extended his hand out to me and I shook it.

“Hello Alpha, I’m Ayla”

“ I’d stay and chat a little longer but I’m needed at the pack house to prepare for my ceremony. I hope to see you there.” He said with a smile and walked away.

I stood still in shock. I think he had to be the most handsome man I had ever seen. He was tall and tan. His shoulders were broad and he had a dazzling smile.

Snap out of it Ayla you are waiting for your mate remember. You’ll find him once you turn eighteen.

“How odd, Alpha Riot graduated school last year. Why was he even here?” Cindy was truly puzzled. And now I was curious too. Lunch went by and Cindy showed Me around to every class. My first day was amazing.
