I finally made it back to our home. Mom and dad both greeted me when I walked in the door.
“Hi honey!”
“Hey guys.” I said and hugged them both around the neck.
“How was school?” Dad asked me.
“Oh it was great! I made a new friend and I even met Alpha Riot.”
“Good! I’m glad you are making new friends. Alpha Matthew and Luna Calina will be joining us for dinner tonight so go get ready to meet our guests.
“Yes sir.” I said and bounded up the stairs. I jumped in the shower and quickly gave my body a scrub and washed my hair. I decided I need to do my makeup since the alpha and Luna are coming. I get to work keeping my look natural. I brush out my hair and let it fall down my back. It will air dry quickly into bouncing waves. I make my way to my large closet and look for the few dresses I do have. I’m not one to wear them, I prefer tees and jeans.
“Aha, there you are.” I say out loud as I spot the dress I was looking for. I pull out my dark green dress with spaghetti straps. I pull it on over my head and watch as it falls to my mid thigh. I decide to wear heels and go back in the closet to get my black pumps. I step back and take a look in the mirror. My long legs look even longer because of the heels. The green dress is making my amber eyes pop and my tan skin looks like it’s glowing.
Riots POV:
“I can’t believe we’ve found her!” My wolf yells excitedly in my head.
“Calm down Marco, she didn’t even notice us. Maybe she wasn’t the one.”
“Riot, she is our one and only. Maybe she couldn’t feel it, maybe she’s not of age yet.”
“Either way Marco, we need to keep this to ourselves. I do not want our relationship to be one sided since she can’t feel the bond yet. I’ll wait for her. I’ll wait for her to feel it for herself.”
I can feel my wolfs disappointment, but he understands. We don’t want to push her. We want her to feel us like we feel her.
“She’s perfect.”Marco says.
“I know Marco. I know.”
“Riot! Will you come here please son.” My dad shouts. I make my way down the hall to his office and open up the door.
“Yes dad?”
“Ahh there you are. Your mother and I are going to have dinner at our newest pack members house. Would you care to join us? Since you are going to be alpha in under 24 hours I think it is part of your duties.” My dad states plainly. There isn’t any getting out of it even if I wanted to. My heart is hammering knowing that we’ll be going to her home. Our mate will be there.
“Yes father. I’ll go get ready now.”
Ayla’s POV:
“What time will Alpha Matthew be here mom?”
“He will be here at seven Ayla.”
“Do you need help with anything?”
“Yes dear, would you set the table and then come help me make the main course?”
I get fast to work doing the tasks mother wants done and walk to the kitchen to help her. Her menu consists of a salad, breadsticks, Alfredo pasta and chicken and for dessert a delicious layered strawberry cake.
When we are putting the finishing touches on everything and start carrying it to the table the doorbell rings. My father makes his way to the door and opens it.
“Hello Alpha, Luna please come in.”
“Hello Blake. Please forgive me but I invited my son along to join us.” Just then Alpha Riot steps into my line of sight. My heart stops beating. How can he look so perfect effortlessly. He’s wearing dark jeans and a tight black button up shirt. His eyes are trained on me and I can see his eyes slowly shift to black. His wolf wants to come out but before he can Riots eyes shift back to gold and he smiles at me.
“We’ve set a spot for him already alpha. Please take a seat. We have everything ready.”
I look back at Riot and he’s staring at me seductively.
“This is going to be a long night.” I thought to myself. Why do I think he’s so handsome. Stupid girl we must wait for our mate.
Dinner was served and my mom definitely outdid herself. Everything was perfect. The alpha and the Luna started to get up to leave.
“I expect to see you all at The ceremony tomorrow.” The alpha states with a smile.
“Yes alpha we will have three reasons to celebrate tomorrow. Alpha riot, being welcomed into the pack, and our daughter’s eighteenth birthday is tomorrow.” My mom states enthusiastically. At this Riots eyes shot up to look at me. They bore into my soul as if to tell me something. Then he stood up.
“I cannot wait to see you all tomorrow. Thank you for the meal, it was wonderful.” With one last look at me Riot walked out the door.
