Hunter drove me to school and as I got out of the car I noticed Shawn doing the same close by. He nodded at me to silently give me courage and I gulped as I looked around the parking lot. The twenty-to-thirty students were staring at me as if I was an animal at the zoo.
Shutting the door I walked with Hunter to the school and inside where even more people turned their heads towards me. There were whispers in every direction and I knew they were about me. I was the attraction of the school. Little miss perfect life...not so perfect.
My mind told me to turn and run, to face this and these people another day but I didn't. I need to keep going.
I thanked Hunter and told him to get to class and he complied, telling me he wanted to meet up with his boyfriend, Joseph anyway.
