I woke up with sweat on my face as my phone continued to shrill. I looked around, trying to get another sense of reality. Another nightmare. It was just another nightmare. Focusing on the sound of my phone I move the blankets around to locate the damn thing.
Finding it, I grab it in my hand and click the answer button without even reading who was calling. I didn't feel like being blinded right now. "H-Hello?" I said, cringing at the way my voice sounded.
"Kevin? Were you sleeping?"
I cleared my throat, "Uh-yeah, it's fine though what's up?"
"What's up? Kevin I am your mother, I deserve a better
