Prologue
Inside a large house, two children can be seen playing while lounging on a long sofa in the living room. It appears that they are twins, and they were between the ages of 5 and 6. Unaware, a pair of ravenous eyes are watching them silently and was looking for prey.
After spending a considerable amount of time upstairs, Kiara finally managed to gather herself when the two children noticed her.
The boy yelled, "Sis Kiara!" and rushed over to her. She snubbed them, turned away from them, and then went up to the balcony and locked the door. The fact that those kids, who are deemed hybrids like her, seem to have their father's undying love annoyed her, and she snarled in displeasure. Their father never gave them love until these two children were born. And that's what annoys her more.
She didn't pay attention to the faint sound coming from inside the house since she assumed it was the kids. The children are gone when she eventually makes the decision to turn around. She assumed that they returned to their room and grown weary. "Finally, I can have my serenity," she sighed.
When she opened the door and entered the house, she saw that the living room was a mess. The youngsters mess up the entire house, she scowled and became agitated. When she sensed a peculiar aura, she was about to disregard the mess and let the others clean it up. Someone seemed to be closely studying her movements. As she hurried into the twins' room, her anxiety increased as her pulse rate increased and she began to feel a little uneasy. She looked around the house but was unable to determine what had happened or where the children were. She reached for her phone and dialed the number of her older brother.
She answered hurriedly, "Something occurred."
The other line said, "Really, what is it again?"
The twins are missing, the house is in disarray, and Kiara expressed concern that something might happen to them.
The other line responded, "Oh, I see.
Kiara scowled in perplexity and snarled in annoyance.
In a fit of rage, she yelled at Brandon, "What the f**k Brandon, don't you see what I'm saying? The twins are in danger and the house is in a huge mess! Our father would kill us, if something happens to the twin!" Her head is a little sore from her brother's attitude, so she massages it. And it gone bigger when she heard the laughs in the other line.
In a fit of rage, she yelled, "W-wait? Brandon? Are you the one behind this? Damn you!" and threw her phone across the room.
She growled, "Damn that guy, I'll murder him if I see him today.
She grinned as she surveyed the entire house.
She said, "Finish what you began, you jerk," and retreated to the balcony. She climbed the railing while standing up and leaped to a three-story residence. After safely touching down, she took off running for the city.
She's about to track down that man and bring the twins home. Brandon has the worst temper out of all of them. And without a doubt, their father would be upset if anything happened to the twins. Kiara's patience with the twins will help keep Brandon's temper in check. And Kiara is worried about what the man could do if she is unable to locate them in time.
Kiara hurried, ignoring the people walking around, towards the entire city, whispering, "Please Brandon, don't do something that would make us suffer more." Given that she is a feral vampire, the fragrance of these people is tempting her, but she is putting all of that aside because of the more serious problem she faces. The oldest of them all, Brandon is also the jerkiest and most unyielding. He'll do whatever he wants, and only she can stop him—especially given that he's so strong that even she couldn't defeat him in a one-on-one fight. Her only opportunity is to speak to him and calm him. Because they have shared similar experiences and circumstances since they were young, Brandon held Kiara in the highest regard. However, if Kiara were to be late, that man would probably do horrible thing to the kids.
Given the number of people around her, Kiara began to stumble, and she was still unable to see Brandon's car. It will also likely raise a disturbance and make it more difficult for her to discover the person if she shape-shifts here. Fortunately, it began to rain, and now the crowds are slowly dispersing to find cover. When Kiara finally spotted Brandon's car, she ignored the rain and started running straight. She let out a sigh and headed there. It is parked close to the defunct seaport.
When Kiara eventually arrived, she was astounded to see her brother covered in blood, with the children nearby his dead body. She hurriedly approached them and quickly pulled the child near to her.
"What happened?" She asked angrily.
The young girl, who had been staring at her in dread, now has her attention fixed on Brandon's body, which is covered in blood. The youngster screamed and shook her head. Kiara released the child and proceeded to look at Brandon's body. She moaned as she took Brandon to his car in a hurry after seeing that he was still alive but hardly breathing. She picked up the blood-stained key off the floor and turned to face the children. The children quickly obeyed her command to "get in."
She made a quick stop in a little structure near the edge of the woods. Since she was focused on Brandon, she couldn't give the kids her full attention as she swiftly exited the car with him in tow and sprinted toward the building. When she finally enters the room where his father is quietly testing something, even the man is shocked when he sees her covered in blood and carrying his brother's body. In the sacred room, where vampires are being treated, their father quickly ordered Kiara to bring Brandon in. Kiara immediately followed her father as she lay Brandon down on the crisp, white bed.
Her father commanded her to step outside and watch over the twins. Kiara nodded before leaving in silence. She then noticed the kids outside, who appeared to still be afraid from what just happened to them. "He'll be okay, tell me what happened?" Kiara asked as she knelt before them.
Kiara inhaled heavily when the twins refuse to tell her what happened. Her eyes barely closed as she made an effort to relax. She is unsure if the children or someone else is responsible for what happened. All of them are hybrids, and given that these children are half vampire and half human, they may have gain extraordinary abilities that causes them to run wild or somebody might see an opportunity to finally get back to his brother. But who could that be? Her brother is strong, and almost everyone is afraid of him.
Kiara managed to give them a flimsy smile. And gently remarked, "It's okay, come on, take a rest," and led the twins to the room. Their father's nest is what this little building is. It is where he has been conducting experiments and treating other vampires, and it also has a small chamber where he sleeps, however when Kiara and her siblings are there, they're making it their rest room. Not a comfort room, but a room designed for rest.
When Kiara was able to persuade the twins to take a nap, she left the room and waited outside the sacred room. It is deemed sacred because something out of the usual is being treated inside. When her father eventually went out, she stood up straight.
"How is he?" Kiara asked abruptly.
"He's fine, what happened?" Her father calmly said.
"I don't know, I just found them covered in blood and Brandon's lying on the floor swimming in blood," Kiara answered.
"Brandon's with the kids?" Kiara felt a bit nervous hearing his father's serious voice.
"Y-yeah, I don't know what Brandon's planning but I think something happened along the way," Kiara said.
Kiara's father scowled and instructed her to clean up and look after her brother. Additionally, he orders her to inform Brandon to meet him and cautions her not to let him leave when he wakes up.
When her father eventually leave, she nodded and went inside the sacred room. Kiara exhaled loudly.
"What did you do now?" She asked in annoyance to unconscious Brandon. She sat on a chair near its bed and closed her eyes hardly.
She growled with annoyance at the unconscious Brandon, "What did you do now? She hardly opened her eyes when she sat in a chair next to the bed.
She despises being a hybrid because, despite being a vampire, she can feel tired, and she finds the sound of her heart to be the most irritating. Only if she is a true vampire, but even her siblings are products of her father's experiment. He mated with different types of creatures in order to produce hybrids like us. And, believe it or not, only one of them is a true vampire, and the rest of them are hybrids, as most vampires refer to them.
