Chapter Forty One – When Life Gives You Lemons
Jess watched on in silence as Vicky reassured a distraught Izzy, she wished with all her heart there was something she could do for her, but other than praying for a miracle there was nothing she could say or do to make any of this better for her or Cigs.
“Aunty Jess, why is Aunty Izzy crying?” Matt asked his little face etched with concern.
“Oh, she is feeling a little sad today” Jess smiled down at him, not sure how much the boy’s knew or what Vicky would be comfortable with her telling them.
“She was at the hospital today, I heard Mum and Dad talking. Has Stan2 come back?” Leo asked tears in his eyes.
“No sweetheart, she is still Stan2 free” Jess smiled, then gathered both boys in her arms to hug them.
